Coach Courtenay hobo bag Review
I bought my Coach Courtenay Hobo bag a little while ago on tilt and I got it for an incredible price because it needed mending. I didn’t know if I would be able to do it, but I took a gamble and I’m so glad I did because it really paid off! I think it cost me around £10 and I’m pretty sure it would be worth a lot more if I was to sell it!
So, what was wrong with my Coach courtenay hobo bag? It was missing the turnlock on the front pocket and I assumed the whole thing was missing but when it arrived, it found the back and front of the turnlock in the pocket, it was only really missing the screws. Fast forward about 4 months and I finally got the screws. Which I wrote all about in this post, just in case you ever have the same situation.
Anyway! It turned out to be a super easy fix, meaning my bag was a mega bargain and I’m so glad I went for it! Speaking of which, if you aren’t shopping on tilt or whatnot, you’re missing a trick!!
I love this bag because I love the slouchy-shoulder bag silhouette it features. It’s casual, easy and subtle. It’s perfect for when you want your outfit to do the talking and not your handbag. Plus the leather quality is stunning, so when it is noticed, it oozes quality. It also feels really nice I carry around.
In terms of branding, this is one of my more subtle coach bags. It doesn’t feature any big logos, much like the coach rogue bag, it’s really more about the quality of the leather and the simple but lovely silhouette.
Mine coach courtenay bag doesn’t have a luggage tag as it must have been lost over the years, but it does have the tassels which I think is super exciting and one such a playful design addition. I usually love my luggage tags, and I even have a collection of spares, but on this occasion, I actually love it without the luggage tag. The high quality leather and slouchy hobo style is enough IMO.
At the moment, the Coach Brooklyn bag is trending and whilst I love that bag, I do think an amazing and affordable alternative to it is the Coach Courtenay bag. It’s a similar hobo style, it has also features incredible quality leather and it’s a timeless slouchy shoulder bag. The only difference is that the Courtenay bag has a front pocket and it’s a LOT cheaper to buy on the preloved market than the Brooklyn would be to buy new.so if the Brooklyn is out of your budget, please consider the coach Courtenay bag! You can even get it in black, just like the Brooklyn!
for me, this is one of the most beautiful Slouchy shoulder bags coach have ever made and a bit of and unsung hero of the preloved styles. I got mine (in need of a repair) for a steal at £10 but it’s easy to find them for around £40 which is incredible, especially when you consider the quality of the bag and leather!
