hello friends! Today I want to share a Coach bag repair and share which screws you need to fix a coach turnlock clasp. I recently bought a coach bag with a turnlock, but the screws had fallen out and the plate needed screwing back on before I could use it.
ita been on my to-do list for ages to fix this bag, so today I finally got around it! Let’s chat!
if you have lost the entire turnlock clasp
if you have lost the entire turnlock clasp, then you could contact coach with your proof of purchase to get it repaired by them. However if the bag was bought preloved and you don’t have the original receipt then I would recommend you buy a vintage coach purse to reuse the turnlock.
of course you want to check it’s the exact metal colour you need and finish, also there are two sizes of turnlock clasps, a s/m and a m/l, and some have the logo on and some don’t, so make sure that you choose the right one. Then just unscrew it from the purse and pop it on the bag.
If you can find a purse which is really beaten up or has a broken zip, you’d be shocked how cheap you will be able to pick up a replacement.

If you have the front and back metal plate but you have lost one or two of the screws, then whilst you could buy a broken purse to use the screws (like I did!) you could just go to the hardware store and buy 4mm long screws which have a 2mm crosshead and a flat top. They come in brass or chrome, but honestly, even if you can’t get the brass, you won’t see the screws if they don’t match.

whilst coach do repairs, they ask for receipts and some of us might have lost them or bought the bag preloved, which makes it a little harder. So this is super easy to fix on your own. So easy, I managed it! Although if in doubt, contact coach and see what they can do!
