You’ll never get how much I paid for this vintage kaftan!!
Hello, friends! I hope you’re well today. I wanted to show you a little car boot sale find! I bought this a couple of weeks ago and took a quick photo of it and honestly, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to write a little blog post and show you it!
I found this vintage kaftan on a rail in a field on a rainy Wednesday morning. The lady had a small selection of clothing, which she said she was selling on behalf of the house clearance company. She told me she really liked the three items that I picked and she had almost been tempted to keep them for herself. I’m honestly so grateful that she didn’t! I got a sweet little fair isle jumper and an 80s style cardigan as well as this kaftan. I’m pretty sure both of the pieces of knitwear were handmade (you know I love a vintage knit!) and I would guess all the pieces were vintage too.
Judging for the label of this kaftan, I would say it’s 1970s and it was made in England too. I love a good kaftan, but this one is especially special as it has the rouching at the front which gives it a little extra shape.
I’m not sure when or where I’ll wear this kaftan, but honestly, I love it so much and I’m so thrilled with it!!
As for the price… well, here’s the shocking part! Each item cost me £1, so this vintage 1970s kaftan was in fact, £1 and I got all three pieces for £3. I may never get over it! I hope you like it as much as I do!
