I joined vinted! Finally!
I’m SO late to the vinted party that it’s embarrassing!!! In case you don’t know me IRL, I have been shopping preloved and vintage since I was 15, which is why it’s so shocking I’m a vinted newbie. To be completely transparent, I have bought a few things from vinted but never sold on there, so I’m finally on there and listing goodies! It’s a lot of fun!
what I’m selling?!
Well, I’m selling bits from my own wardrobe as well as some of the pieces I have thrifted and then decided I don’t have the space or. And then there’s some items I’ve thrifted purely to resell. So, yes! I’m now a vinted reseller! I’ve been trying not to set my prices crazy high because whilst i want to make a profit, i also want people to get good prices and be happy with the prices they paid.

My top tips for reselling on vinted…
I’m fairly new to vinted but here are my top tips for reselling on vinted:
- take great photos – obvious but seriously important. Have a nice backdrop that complements the item and if possible, capture in nature light.
- larger sizes sell better than smaller sizes – if you have the choice between buying a size 8 or an 18 of the exact same dress, generally speaking, the 18 will sell quicker! Just saying!!
- look for unique items – look for items which are unique and eye catching. Exciting prints, fringing, cool details! I recently sold a Y2K waistcoat with fringing for £19 which i bought for £1 and I’m sure I could have sold it for more if I had wanted!!
- vintage sizes are inconsistent, so always give measurements or at least give some guidance on if it fits like a modern size or not.
- Don’t overspend on items – try to buy cheaper items which if they don’t sell won’t leave you out of pocket
- If you do spend a lot on something ask yourself if you would be happy to keep it if it doesn’t sell – if the answer is yes, go for it!!!
- Upload frequently- again! So obvious it’s embarrassing to mention but you know it’s true!
