Charlotte Tilbury ‘Charlotte’s Magic Hydrator Mist’ review
This has been a big launch for Charlotte Tilbury, but I have been trying to ignore reviews so that I made up my own mind about the product. I guess I didn’t want to be guided by the hype! Plus I knew that a lot of the reviews would focus on how it sits over base make up, where as I knew I would probably be using it over bare skin as more of a skincare product to give my skin a morning and afternoon boost of gloss and hydration.
Before we get started, I also want to mention that not only am I using it on make-up free skin, but I have fairly dry, sensitive and irritable skin. So I have to be very careful when it comes to exfoliating, using acids and peels and retinols. If this sounds familiar to you, keep reading!
Charlotte’s Magic hydrating mist is a multi use product. You can use it as a skincare product or a cosmetic product. You can also use it under or over foundation or on bare skin. It mists easily over your skin and adds instant hydration and glow.
The texture is hard to describe; it’s not a water like the Caudalie Beauty Elixir or the Jurlique Rosewater mist, instead it more like a glow setting spray, like Pixi’s Glow mist. It’s not oily, but it’s also not watery, it definitely has a ‘texture’, it’s just hard to describe what that texture is. It reminds me a little of a SPF spray, or Pixi’s glow mist. But it’s unlike most beauty mists or Spray toners. As for scent, it’s quite a light, fresh floral. Not especially noticeable but nice.
I gave my skin a good few mists with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Hydrator Mist, maybe it’s because I have dry skin and I wasn’t wearing make up, but I feel like I wanted a little more of a boost than just a couple of mists. I like the fact that this product is buildable, if you just want a little extra glow, just mist once, if your skin is dry and needs a real boost, spritz a little more!
On my skin, the Charlotte Tilbury ‘charlotte’s Magic Hydrator Mist’ added instant and long lasting hydration and glow. It was really natural looking and I feel like it generally give my skin a bit of a pep up. It also seemed to plump up my skin and gave me a general boost. It did all that without disturbing my eye make up too, in fact, if anything, it seemed to give my make up a bit of a fresh too!

To use Charlotte’s Magic hydration mist; just give it a shake and mist onto the face. Try to mist down onto your face to hit the high points for a more beautiful glow on your cheekbones and brow bone. Mist a small amount for a subtle glow or a larger amount for a heavier glow and hydrate.
Apply in the morning before or after make up and use as a skincare product or as a cosmetic product. Also use in the day time for a make-up refresh, added glow and hydration boost.
