EIGHT reasons to visit Vancouver this Autumn!

Hello friends! Today I want to share EIGHT reasons to visit Vancouver this Autumn! Vancouver has been on my travel wishlist for a while now as the scenery is incredible; they have beaches, rainforests, mountains and botanical gardens… plus they also have a tonne of amazing vintage shops!

Today I want to share eight reasons to visit Vancouver, or start your dream Canada – to – america road trip from there. Speaking of which, you might want to consider booking car hire in Vancouver as you will need transport to really explore this magical city! Let’s chat!

Whale watching

Did you know you can go whale watching in Vancouver?! You can see whales and dolphins, right there in the ocean and learn all about their biology and habits. These tours are a super ethical way to see and learn about ocean Marine life, it’s a real treat!!

Stanley Park

You know all those pictures you see of Canadian parks filled with orange trees and fallen leaves?! Well a lot of those photos are taken in Vancouvers Stanley park. It’s a hugeeeee 1,000 park which is truly magical! Plus inside it you will find tennis courts, botanical gardens, bikes to hire and so much more! Anyone else fancy a picnic and a bike ride under orange trees?!

Vintage shopping

Vancouver is well known for having incredible vintage stores and markets! There are so many! From high end boutiques like Mine & Yours, who sell vintage designer goodies, to Vancouver flea market which is on every Saturday and meant to be amazing!

Hike the Grouse Grind

If you love a good walk (or hike) then Grouse Grind looks amazing! It’s deep in the woods and looks like something out of Lord Of The Rings. It’s meant to be physically exhausting but worth every step of the 2,830 stairs up the mountain. Check it out here!

Capilano suspension bridge

From my research, this looks like it’s in a similar place to the Grouse Grind walk, but in the air and a hell of a lot easier! It’s fairly expensive (around $60 each) but it’s a real once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Richmond Night Market

This is so cool! In Vancouver they have a night market! You can shop and eat food and do it all under vintage electric lights and the stars! I don’t know what it is, but markets at night are SO much more fun than markets in the day time!!!

VanDusen Botanical Garden

Botanical Gardens are always wonderful but VanDusen botanical garden is world famous for its incredible maze, lakes and pathways which look like they are photoshopped because they are so incredible!

Eat all the food!

Finally, the food!!!! Vancouver is known for its amazing food! Big eats and comfort foods! Lots of sushi and Raman, burgers and waffles! Maybe it’s because Vancouver has so many hikes and outdoor activities that everyone has worked up an appetite but I can’t wait to eat out in Vancouver and try it all!!! See some of the highlights here! Also Vancouver is pretty hip so it has loads of great vegan options too!

Ta da! And there we have it! Eight amazing things to do in Vancouver! It really is a dream destination with all its mountains and beaches, theses even a sky-to-sea cable car which we didn’t even chat about… but that’s a post for another day!
