I have been a customer (and fan) for about five years now and I really want to share more about them because their do so much amazing work. More than just pretty paper
When I first saw Who gives a crap toilet paper, I was attracted to their brightly coloured packaging. I’m not gonna pretend, the packaging really pops and draws you in! At the time I owned an Airbnb apartment and I thought it would be cute for our guest bathroom, as it would look pretty and it felt more hygienic because each roll was wrapped.
Once I bought a box, I decided I really liked the quality and the ease of buying a box once in a while and never having to worry about toilet paper. Which was especially helpful when everyone was going wild panic buying toilet paper, as I had my own mega stash in our cupboard! Suddenly it felt like being ethical was paying off… I loved it!
Over the years I’ve been buying the bamboo paper as it was a little more luxe and because I had heard negative things about the recycled paper option, I decided to pay £4 more per box (which is pennies extra once you spread it out over the 48 rolls) and get the bamboo paper.

However, that being said, I recently gave the recycled paper version a try and I really liked it. Perhaps there was initial quality issues?! I don’t know, but I definitely like it and possibly even prefer it! I asked my partners opinion and he prefers it too. PLUS I recently read it was even more eco friendly than the bamboo paper, so I’m gonna make that switch!
If you are nervous about making the switch, don’t be! It won’t cost you any more and it’s just as good quality as the supermarket version. The rolls last for ages and the only real drawback is that you need extra storage space to house it. Personally I would go for the recycled paper option and if you don’t like it, upgrade to the bamboo paper. It will save you a little money and it’s even more eco friendly.
