Jo Malone ‘Mallow On The Moor’ Cologne Review

Jo Malone ‘Mallow On The Moor’ Cologne Review

Jo Malone ‘Mallow On The Moor’ Cologne Review

Hello friends! Today I want to do a review of the new Jo Malone Mallow On The Moor Cologne. This is part of the spring / summer 2023 brit collection: the highlands collection. Today we are going to chat about this wonderfully floral, nostalgic, powdery perfume. Let’s go!

About the cologne…

‘Purple mallow flowers spill across an untamed landscape, beckoning bees with their vivid colour. These pretty petals flutter alongside powdery heliotrope in this soft floral scent enriched by the naturality of violet leaves.’

Jo Malone ‘Mallow On The Moor’ Cologne Review

Every year Jo Malone release the iconic Brit Collection and thrill their fans with a selection of brand new fragrances themed around an aspect of British life and countryside. Over the years we have had colognes inspired by Rain, herb gardens, canals, summer fairs and so much more!! This summer collection is themed around the Highlands of Scotland, a place which is so special and often not spoken about. My grandparents lived in Perthshire in the highlands, so it’s a place I know well. It’s wild, windy, remote and so beautiful.

Jo Malone Mallow On The Moor is a fabulous floral fragrance. It’s the kind of perfume you don’t come across every day Because it features underrated accords like violet and heliotrope in it. It’s what I think of as a modern-traditional fragrance, it’s elegant, timeless but has a bit of a vintage twist and ethereal feel to it. It smells like a portrait of a woman in a great hall… if The Swing had a scent, this would be it.

Jo Malone Mallow On The Moor is stunning, it’s bright and fresh with cut grass accords, delicate and powdery violets and cherry-like and almost nutty heliotrope. It’s got quite mossy, earthy base notes and it’s truly unique and beautiful.

If you love Jo Malone’s Wild Bluebells, then it’s very likely you will love Mallow On The Moor. It also has some similarities with Red Roses, even though it contains completely different notes. But I think the range it reminds me most of, is the charity garden candles and the fragrances like Peony & Moss and Iris & Lady Moore.

You can read more about the full Highlands collection here, including the amazing Melancholy Thistle. And if you want to read about the Jo Malone Best Sellers, this is the post for you!
