Jo Malone London: The Highlands Collection!
Hello friends! Today I want to share the brand new limited edition Jo Malone London Brit collection; The Highlands. There are four perfumes in this collection, each one new and each one created by Céline Roux and perfumers Anne Flipo, who are the dream team behind some of the brands most-loved perfumes.
Every spring Jo Malone London launch their Brit collection and each year it’s inspired by a different facet of the UK and well… Britishness. Over the years we have had Rain, canals, herb garden and even summer fairs. This years collection takes inspiration from Scotland’s highlands, a place dear to my own heart as it’s where my grandparents lived.
True to its name, each perfume is made in the UK using responsibly sourced ingredients and essential oils. Each perfume only comes as a limited edition 30ml bottle and they do often sell out fast, so if you want one, buy one quick! Also, can we talk about how incredibly pretty the bottles are?! Splendid!! Inspiration….
A majestic wilderness. Misty moors, heather-clad hills and ancient castles reclaimed by nature. Four new scents, inspired by the untamed beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
Melancholy Thistle Cologne – Bold and bright Melancholy Thistles guard a long-abandoned castle in the Scottish Highlands. Entwined with a green freshness, this woody aromatic scent is underpinned by coolwood to summon the ivy-covered stone walls inside a majestic relic.
Highland Heather Cologne –Morning haze across the Highlands fades to reveal a wilderness blanketed by swathes of heather. An amethyst vision captured in a woody scent, enhanced with English lavender and freshened by cypress, grounded in sensual amber.
Wild Achillea Cologne – Golden bundles of wild achillea frame remote ruins alive with nature. Sparkling with bright bergamot entwined with the tangy sting of nettle, the greenness balanced on a base of soft white musk.
Mallow On The Moor Cologne –Purple mallow flowers spill across an untamed landscape, beckoning bees with their vivid colour. These pretty petals flutter alongside powdery heliotrope in this soft floral scent enriched by the naturality of violet leaves.

My Favourites!
I LOVE this collection! The Highlands of Scotland are so beautiful and magical, and this collection really transports you there. It’s dewy, wild, rural, majestic, ethical and otherworldly. Think of robust wildflowers, water, earth, pine trees and clear skies. That’s what this fragrance collection feels like.
Personally, I LOVE Melancholy Thistle Cologne for it’s slightly more masculine accords of stone, water and pine, it’s very beautiful and reminds me a little of Wood Sage & Seasalt with a little added pine and earthy accords. It also reminds me of Forest Moss from the Wild Swimming collection. Personally, I’m hoping this fragrance will be added into the permanent classic collection.
I also love Mallow On The Moor Cologne, because very few fragrances are themed around the humble but fabulous Violet flower. This fragrance reminds me a little of Wild Bluebell for it’s wonderfully floral, etherial and slightly vintage feel. It’s beautifully feminine, floral and powdery and has a real nostalgic note to it too.
