My Favourites!
I’ve been a fan of Liz Earle skincare for around 12 years now, but when I got pregnant, I found it went from a brand I loved using, to a brand I needed to use. My skin had always been dry, but never overly sensitive or problematic. As soon as I was pregnant, I found it to be really dry and really prone to sensitivity and irritability. I found I had to keep my skincare routine really simple, calming, nourishing and hydrating. I avoiding all exfoliating products, all fruit peels, retinoids… you name it, I couldn’t use it. I tried a variety of products, but the BEST thing for my skin, was without doubt Liz Earle. Side note: If you are pregnant and struggling with your skin, I cannot urge your enough to try Liz Earle products, in particular the Liz Earle Probiotic range which is super calming and nourishing. It soothed every flare up and left my skin always feeling comfortable and nourished.
Now that I am 12 months postpartum, my skin is still dry (as it always has been) and still a little sensitive and prone to irritability, but nothing like it was when I was pregnant and early postpartum. However, I am still devoted to Liz Earle skincare, because it’s still the range which works the best for me and since I never have time to apply much make-up, it’s more important than ever my skin looks good so I can feel confident without foundation.
My favourite products in this collection have to be the iconic Cleanse & Polish cleanser, let’s be honest! It never fails! It’s beautiful to use and leaves you with cracking skin, for all skin types, even those who are dry and sensitive. I also adore the Instant Boost™ Skin Toner Tonic, which is the only toner I find I can use these days. It’s alcohol-free and really refreshens and brightens the skin tone. It’s amazing. Also, these two products are super generous sizes, so they will probably last you around 6 months. And finally, I adore the classic Skin Repair™ Moisturiser in the rich version. I personally find this great for day or night, it’s super hydrating and nourishing, it gives a really pretty healthy finish to my skin. It’s perfect with or without make-up and it’s long lasting and comforting. It’s the perfect moisturiser.
As for the Superskin Microdermabrasion Polish and Superskin Alt-Retinol Paste, these are gentle enough to use on my irritable skin, however, my mum absolutely ADORES both of these products and they have given her incredible results, so I might split the package up and make these two products a stocking filler for her. T’is the season after all! That’s the beauty of this deal, you can keep it all, or split it up into products for you and stocking fillers / gifts for others!
