Five Things I Learnt When I Got Covid
Hello friends! Last week I got covid and it was ROUGH!!!! I thought I would share a few things I learned when I got covid… Let’s go!
Life is short
Seriously… life is short and we got covid in the most depressing way ever. My boyfriend went to an IT conference and got it. Then he gave it to me and Mary. I wish we had gotten it doing something fun. The moral of the story is, do fun things, if you are going to get covid, you may as well get it doing something fun!
Get Jabbed
We were all jabbed up and honestly, it was still BAD! From here on in, I’m going to be giving Boots my £10 for the flu jab every winter and getting every covid booster I’m offered. supplements? Hit me up! Well stocked medicine cabinet? I’m all in! Oh and if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, wear a mask. Don’t feel any shame, just strap it on and protect yourself!
Blankets, Inhalations, Paracetamol and Ibuprofen
Be ready with the warm blankets and cosy dressing gowns, I was FREEZING and my cosy dressing down SAVED ME! I would also recommend inhalations to clear the sinuses and ease the headache. And then take as many paracetamol and ibuprofen as you are allowed. Also, see above, but stock up the medicine cabinet. Just in case!
Your tastes may change
This is so depressing, but chocolate does not taste as good right now and it’s RUBBISH!!!!! Also, I’ve never wanted to eat peppers, chilli and spice as I do right now! Pass the Nando’s sauce! I can’t get enough!
111 is a GREAT service
111 is a bloody great service. If in doubt, give them a call. They helped me out with Mary when we were ill and I’ve called a few times and it’s great! When I got a tick bite, it was a saturaday morning so impossible to get to a doctors, but 111 organised for a prescription of antibiotics to be ready for me at my local pharmacy and it was amazing!
