Boots Bags Of Joy: The Best Gifts For EVERYONE THIS CHRISTMAS!
Hello friends!! Oh my!! Christmas is around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited!!! I am truly SO happy to be celebrating this year!! I can’t wait to deck the halls, ring the bells, sing carols, watch endless holiday films, eat all the yule logs and of course… pile the Christmas tree up with beautiful gifts for everyone and anyone! If there has ever been a Christmas to really go for it, I think this is the one!
Christmas 2020 was a bit of a funny one for our family. Like many people, we were hoping to visit family for the holiday, but due to travel restrictions, we had to stay home. We made the best of it, of course, we FaceTimed and watched holiday films and had Christmas trees in every room, but let’s be honest, it wasn’t the same. This year will hopefully be a whole lot different; The baby should be here by then, we should be able to travel and we should be able to celebrate in style!
Our 2021 So Far…
It’s been a pretty crazy year for us as a LOT has happened. Like London buses, so pretty major life events all came at once; we have moved house, relocated to a different part of the country, embarked on a HUGE house renovation project AND got pregnant and hopefully will have had a baby, all within 12 months. We didn’t do it alone, of course, like they say, it really does take a village and we have been SO lucky to have found new friends along the way to help us. From family, hospital staff, builders, movers and our new neighbours, we have had so much help and really felt the love. We have been so lucky and there is truly no better time to give back than Christmas!

This Christmas I plan on giving back and spreading a little joy! I always take some lovely food to the local food bank, I love to surprise our refuse men with boxes of chocolates and I drop treats off in our favourite local stores …. but this year, I want to do more! It’s the perfect opportunity to spread some joy and let’s be honest, giving is more fun than receiving, especially when it’s unexpected!!

For Him…
Well, aside from family, I plan on giving some good Christmas presents to some key people who have helped us this year. First up, our head builder and project manager in our house renovation. He’s been so kind and sweet and really helped us out when we were in a bit of a pickle. Remember when the fireplace collapsed and the house was in danger of falling down!? He was on another job at the time and he hopped in his van and saved the day! So I plan on getting him a box of chocolates for his family and a set of Bulldog Skincare so he can indulge in a little pampering over the holidays! I might also get him a set of Nando’s Sauces too, just for fun! You might not expect it, but there are some brilliant Christmas gifts for him this year at Boots!!
For Her…
I also wanted to give something really lovely and luxe to our landlady! A few months ago when our house renovation turned out to be bigger than expected, we made the decision to move out of the house so that the builders could crack on without us there and not only that, it wasn’t really safe for us to be there, especially with my growing bump. I did an Instagram story asking if anyone knew of any holiday lets we could move into and a lovely lady replied saying she could help us. She has so kindly let us stay in her holiday annex for months whilst the builders work away on our house and she’s been the most wonderful host. We truly had someone looking over us the day I posted that story and this Estee Lauder Beautiful Perfume gift set is a small way that I can say ‘Thank you’ this Christmas. It’s such a beautiful set and I think it would be the perfect Christmas gift for her!
Secret Santa…
Finally, there are so many secret Santa gifts I would like to give this year, but I think my number one person I want to surprise is my sister-in-law. When she found out we were pregnant, she took time off work and spent nearly a week rummaging around her parents loft finding baby clothes for us for our baby-on-the-way. Not only did she kindly gift us everything, but she washed it, organised it and even made a little bag of essentials for the first few crazy weeks. It has saved us a fortune, but also given us everything we needed for the first 6 months, so we don’t have to aimlessly roam the stores trying to figure out what we need and what we don’t. It was so kind and generous of her and whilst I have a little Christmas gift for her, I also want to hide a secret santa gift for her under the tree which is completely unexpected! I picked out this amazing bumper set of Soap & Glory for her as I know it’s her favourite brand and it has everything she needs inside to pamper herself for months to come. Soap & Glory is always such a treat and this set is packed full of the greatest hits from the brand. To hide who the gift is from, I was thinking about signing the gift card from her own personal Christmas hero… Michael Buble!
