Let’s Chat About Murad Intense Recovery Cream!

My friends! Let’s Chat About Murad Intense Recovery Cream! This is a product I have been using for a while now and I actually shot these photos about 6 months ago, but it’s taken me this long to gather my thoughts and finally write a blog post about it! So here I am, with all the information and hopefully by the end you will be interested enough to try it for yourself, but dry skinned babes, this one is for you! Let’s do this!!!

Let’s Chat About Murad Intense Recovery Cream!

Murad Intense Recovery Cream was a WINTER SAVIOUR for me, I get super sore and dry skin, especially in the colder months and honestly, I am known for having a cold house because I would rather be a little chilly and bundle up with jumpers than ramp up the central heating and trigger my skin. I don’t know if you know this feeling, but personally, in the Winter I get such dry irritated skin that more than a few hours of central heating can leave my cheeks stinging with pain and bright red. Thankfully my dog loves a cold house and my boyfriend is fine with it too, but too much central heating can cause havoc with my skin and more than it looking bad.. it hurts! No really, it can feel like my cheeks are on fire and take HOURS to calm down after a central heating induced flare up!

Anyway, now that you have an idea of how dry and painful my skin can get in the Winter, I want to share last winter’s hero product with you. It is of course, Murad’s Intense Recovery Cream. It’s formulated with Shea Butter & Macadamia Oil, Mirabilis Jalapa Plant Extract and Science-Backed Microalgae Extract. Which together create a dream team of soothing, hydrating, calming, uber-nourishing face joy. It’s rich and soothing enough to help with the sorest of eczema, it reduces redness, it deeply hydrates and nourishes and it feels really rich and luxurious.

Murad Intense Recovery Cream is a pale green colour which I promise, isn’t a cosmetic tint to tone down redness, it’s literally just the colour of the cream and ingredients. It’s suitable for day and night use and if you want to save a little money and make the product go further, I would recommend targeting the product just to where you need it the most. For my dad, that’s on his eczema patches (he’s a fan too!) for me, it’s on my cheeks which are by far the driest and most sensitive part of my face.

The cream is super luxe, it has a slight scent to it which is fresh and calming and it is thick but almost turns into a balm once rubbed into the skin and it does seem to absorb fast and not ‘sit’ on the skin, which is great, especially if you are wearing make up over the top. If you want to wear a slightly thicker layer overnight, go wild, but honestly, you don’t need to. It’s super intense and potent and it really does work a treat! Personally, I’m not using this product during the summer months, unless I want an overnight hit of hydration, then I use it as a sleep mask, but otherwise, I save it and cherish it for the winter months when I need it the most!

Admittedly, this product isn’t cheap, HOWEVER, if you do struggle with super dry skin in the winter and you are willing to invest and make a product last, then this is the one to invest in! Also, the pot is deceptively small,  a little goes a long way and I have had mine for a while now and it’s still going strong. I think I’ll get a good two Winters’ from it and for me, that makes it worth every penny!!
