As with all Jo Malone London fragrances, you can wear English Pear & Freesia on its on or layer up with other Jo Malone fragrances. Either wearing two colognes at once, or pairing with consisting bath & body products. English Pear & Freesia can be combined with Orange Blossom, Wild Bluebell or Grapefruit to make it fresher. Or Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Dark Amber & Ginger Lily or Peony & Blush Suede to make it warmer.

My friends! I can’t believe I have never discussed the best selling Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia until now! This is a modern-classic fragrance and an iconic cologne in the collection; some would say on a par with Lime Basil Mandarin, others would say it’s eclipsed it. Personally I think they are both as important as each other, both make wonderful gifts and delightfully elegant perfumes which are impossible not to fall in love with… however, where Lime Basil Mandarin is fresh, punchy and zesty, English Pear & Freesia is a little more classic, floral and soft.

Jo Malone london English Pear & Freesia Cologne opens with sweet, juicy ripe pears, which are sparkling, unexpected and sunshine filled. The white freesias are classic and delicate, and together have a real ‘English country garden’ feel. The base is rich and woodsy and almost has a powdery trail of patchouli, woods and amber accords. English Pear & Freesia is both modern and classic; a little vintage, yet fresh and exciting. Also, I don’t know what it is about this fragrance, but when you wear it, it feels really special, like anything is possible and it’s going to be a wonderful day! Perhaps this is why it’s such a popular wedding-day fragrance, both as a personal cologne and as part of a scented wedding. 

Jo Malone london English Pear & Freesia Cologne is wonderfully warm, bright and beautiful, it’s impossible not to fall in love with; it’s soft and feminine, exciting yet timeless and it’s perfect for every occasion. It doesn’t matter if you are working from home in your comfiest leggings, or at a wedding or garden party, it’s always wonderful and always makes you feel joyful. It’s perfect for Spring through to Autumn and it’s wonderful for the day time and early evening, as for the night time, simply layer it up with something a little richer to make it a little more mysterious, like Myrrh & Tonka or Dark Amber & Ginger Lily.
