How To Care For and Clean a Cambridge Satchel Company Bag?

• Avoid using your Traveller bag on rainy days and if your bag gets wet, wipe it dry with a clean cloth and allow to dry naturally.
• Do not store in direct sunlight, as the colour will fade over time
• Do not store in an airing cupboard or loft, or any other place of extreme heat or coldness or dry space
• If you use a leather protector or cleaner, test it in a small, discrete place first. Personally I love the Collonil leather cream.
• If you choose a very light coloured bag, like mine, avoid wearing it next to brand new dark coloured jeans as the dye may transfer. Colour transfer may happen from many garments but denim, in particular new denim, is the main culprit.

Personally I think this is a fair price for a mid-size British Made full leather handbag of this quality. It’s a fashion investment, as it is truly a bag which will last for years and can be worn with so many different outfits. The only thing I would say, is choose your colour carefully. If you want a bag for all seasons, then the pale blue Daybreak shade might not be the best for the colder months and you might want to consider the Oxblood or Clay, Oxblood and Navy, which is a great colour choice for all year round. In the summer it feels quite nautical and in the Winter it feels more moody.

 Does Satchel Leather Soften?

Yes, satchel leather does soften, especially at the most ‘used’ parts like the buckles and straps. However, this will not happen fast, but you can speed things up by polishing your bag often. Also, the stiffness of the leather is important for the bags’ structure.

Which is the best Cambridge Satchel Company bag?

This is really up to personal preference. Some people love the classic satchel, but I personally love either the Daisy or Poppy bag. Which are both a little more simple and I think practical to use. Both these styles are feminine and playful mid-size designs, where as the Traveller bag is still very cute, but a little less girly.

However, some seasonal colour ways may sell out long before it gets to sale time so if you fall in love with a seasonal colour at the beginning of the season, please be aware it may sell out long before the sale starts. So, here we are, the end, the final Cambridge Satchel Company Traveller Bag Review! For me, this is the perfect handbag, especially for those who love to carry about their compact camera. As you probably know, I spend a lot of time with my camera and honestly, not many handbags are the right shape and size to carry a camera and a lens or two around. Either they don’t have the depth, or they are so big that I’m stuck carrying around a huge tote when I want to use a small or mid-size bag. Plus tote bags are over the shoulder, which can be annoying when you are taking photos as you are trying to juggle getting into position to take photos, but not loosing your bag in the process. And don’t even get me started on trying to change lenses with a shoulder bag rather than a cross body bag! It’s for these reasons and so many more, the CSC Traveller bag is the perfect bag for bloggers and photography lovers. But if you aren’t a keen photographer, the Traveller bag is still a super cute, every day bag, just for me, it’s all about the slightly squarer shape which makes it so goddamn PERFECT for taking out my camera!

What else is the Traveller bag good for? Honestly… travelling! It’s a great mid-sized bag for popping in your daily essentials in; snacks, phone charger, purse, keys. Have you tried fitting a sandwich roll and bag of crisps into into a shoulder bag? Think again! The Traveller bag is perfect for walks in the woods, photography outings, day trips and everything in between. Plus I love it because it’s cute, without being super feminine and girly, it’s almost a utilitarian style bag, but mini and cute. It’s almost a boyfriend bag, but it’s too adorable. It’s a bag like no other!

I love the Cambridge Satchel Company Traveller bag because it’s practical, cute and a little unexpected. It’s like a vintage SLR camera bag, but mini, so perfect for compact camera users. I love the magnet clasp as it makes it SO much easier to get in and out of and it’s just a generally brilliant easy-to-use, cute as a button, chunky shaped, easy to style bag. It’s not as feminine as the Poppy or the Daisy, but it’s also a lot more practical and pretty than the classic satchel. It’s like a perfect hybrid of the most iconic CSC bags and it’s really flippin’ cute!
