Introducing Jo Malone ‘Marmalade Collection’
Hello friends! Today I want to give you a quick heads up that the new Jo Malone Brit Collection for 2021 is out now! This is the Jo Malone ‘Marmalade Collection’ and it’s inspired by jam, spring treats, bank holiday fun, nostalgia and homemade treats! Imagine bunting, freshly made marmalade and perfect summer days in the English countryside at summer fairs! The collection features four new fragrances; Rose Blush, Orange Peel, Tangy Rhubarb, Elderflower Cordial and everyone’s favourite, Blackberry & Bay, which has been introduced in limited edition packaging for this new collection. Let’s chat all about the Jo Malone ‘Marmalade Collection’!
Jo Malone ‘Rose Blush’ Cologne
“Delicate rose petals suspended in a delectable jelly. The charm of these blushing pink petals inspires a prized preserve. Vibrant basil and a juicy note of lychee add a modern twist to this pretty floral scent, cocooned in the comforting embrace of white musk.”
I’m a HUGE fan of ‘Red Roses’ and ‘Velvet Rose & Oud’ I’m so excited about this fragrance as I think Jo Malone have created some of the best rose-based fragrances on the market. I love the sound of this pretty, playful, carefree twist on the classic rose.
Jo Malone ‘Orange Peel’ Cologne
“Marmalade making, a most British of traditions. Orange peel simmers on the stove, its zesty aroma and bitter bite tantalising the senses. Warm woods are blended with orange to create a refined, golden fragrance. Quirky natural rhubarb adds an enticing appeal to this fresh take on the classic marmalade”
I’m guessing this might be the star of the show as it sounds like the most marmalade-y cologne of the marmalade collection! I have already had questions on my YouTube Channel about this perfume and it sounds like this is one that people are REALLY excited about! Again, Jo Malone are known for their twists on the humble orange with their iconic Orange Blossom and Orange Bitters fragrances, so I’m so excited to see how this one compares! I’m going to guess it’s zesty, playful and perfect for the day time!
Jo Malone ‘Tangy Rhubarb’ Cologne
“The unmistakable tang of unruly rhubarb plucked from the overgrown garden. Its bright and striking stems fill the bustling kitchen. Rhubarb brings a characterful heart to this eccentric fragrance, complemented by zesty orange and an elegant note of cedarwood.”
Can you believe this is the first time Jo Malone have used Rhubarb in their colognes?! I’m so excited by this one! I LOVE the smell of rhubarb and I’m going to guess this one is wonderful! Personally, if I was to blind buy any, I think this would be the top of my list!
Jo Malone ‘Elderflower Cordial’ Cologne
“Delicate elderflower buds harvested from the hedgerows on a cloudless morning. The soft, powdery appeal of these tiny white flowers inspire a very British recipe. Their floral notes are complemented by hawthorn and mixed with the tartness of summer-green gooseberries”
I think I’m the only person in the world who doesn’t love a good glass of Elderflower Cordial in the summer, so this is the fragrance I’m personally least excited about, purely because I’m not so into Elderflower. HOWEVER, it’s Jo Malone, so it will probably be wonderful and it sounds like its got some joyful green notes in it which might win me over, I really excited to try it regardless!
Jo Malone ‘Blackberry & Bay’ Cologne
“Childhood memories of blackberry picking. A burst of deep, tart blackberry juice, blending with the freshness of just-gathered bay and brambly woods. Vibrant and verdant”
Finally, Blackberry & Bay, one of my all time favourite Jo Malone Perfumes. This cologne is not new to the collection, however, it is in a very beautiful new bottle and perfectly fitting for the collection. It’s such a joyful fragrance filled with juicy ripe blackberries and warm, earth, green leaves. It’s such a joy to wear and I am so happy to see it getting a little more love this Spring as I personally think it often gets a little forgotten. It’s truly a magical perfume like no other!
