Ferragamo ‘Per Lei’ Perfume Review
My friends! Today I want to have a the new Ferragamo ‘Per Lei’ perfume with you all! This popped through my letterbox on a sunshine filled Spring morning, there was due on the grass, the flowers in the garden were blooming and I sprayed this perfume and I felt all warm and fuzzy inside!
With Spring in the air, I’ve been wanting to wear less heavy, oud based perfumes and switch to lighter, fresher perfumes with plenty of floral notes. I tend to steer clear or sweet fruity florals and instead favour florals which have more of a vintage vibe. This perfume definitely fits into the later category for me. It is rich with traditional and beautiful florals like osmanthus, magnolia and possibly a touch of rose, jasmine and maybe even a little heliotrope (or something with that similar powdery, solar-based warmth) There is a hint of sweetness with this perfume with the pear and raspberry, but for me, the florals take centre stage and the fruity notes just add a touch of freshness and fun. It’s not sugary sweet, it’s enjoyable, playful and elegant.
As for the base, it’s warm and woodsy with soft musk and cashmere accords blending with cedarwood and sandalwood which give the perfume an ageless, elegant and super chic air. For me, the heart and the base give the perfume quite a classic feel, where as the fruits at the top add a touch of playfulness which make this perfume feel like a modern, traditional, playful and elegant floral perfume. It’s perfect for Spring! Bring on the sunshine, freshly cut grass and beautiful wild flowers!
