What’s Going On With My Airbnb?!
My friends! I hope you are well! Today I thought I would have a quick chat about what’s going on with my Airbnb apartment, as it’s something a few people have asked about over the past couple of days. Also, I want to share a few cool places if you are looking for where to stay in Margate. Not sure what I’m talking about?! Let me explain…
A few days ago I announced a little life update, last week, we packed our suitcases and moved from Margate to Norfolk. Partly because it’s closer to family and partly because we love Norfolk. It already feels like home and I’m SO excited about exploring the beautiful county when lockdown lifts. But for now, we are just enjoying starting renovations, speaking to contractors, specialists, the architect and slowly unpacking.
Anyway, I’m side-tracking, I’m here to chat about our Airbnb and what’s going on with that! Well, it’s bittersweet if I’m honest. Since we no longer own our Margate home, we have closed the doors to our charming Airbnb apartment. However, we are hoping to have a new one at some point in the future! EEK! We have a few options, which I promise I will share when I can, but for now, my days of being an Airbnb host are over… or at least on pause!
As I’m sure you know, I LOVED being an Airbnb host, it was my job for three years and my passion and it was just so much fun – sometimes a little stressful, but it was amazing! If you are tempted to be an Airbnb host, I highly recommend it and if you ever have any questions about it, please do ask! I’m going to try and share some more tips for opening an airbnb and being a great host soon, as I know it’s something I can give a lot of really valuable information on, but for now, I just thought I would update you and let you know our adorable Airbnb is now closed! I thought I would share the last tour video I made below as well as a whole heap of pictures because it was truly adorable!!
Where to stay in Margate?
If you are looking for somewhere quirky and cool to stay in Margate, then I can’t recommend Margate Suites enough, or the George & Heart (ask for the Amy Exton Room, it’s SO cool!) or you can stay in The Libertines hotel or if you have a little more budget, The Reading Rooms is beautiful!
Thank you to everyone who came to stay with us, it was a LOT of fun! And of course, if you do have any questions about being an Airbnb host, just let me know! Also, if you are new to Airbnb and you want to get up to £50 off your first say, click this link! (Full disclosure, this is a refer a friend code and I get a small amount Airbnb credit for my next stay!) Thank you for reading and I hope this post helps you find where to stay in Margate!
