Elemis Fragrance Free Cleansing Balm

Let’s Chat About the Original Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing balm!
Whilst I’m writing this post, I thought it would be a good opportunity to tell you about the OG Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing balm, just in case you don’t know about it! I have been using this cleaning balm for years and it’s truly amazing. It smells like a spa, filled with natural botanicals and essential oils and it’s truly that ‘self care’ moment we all crave at the end of the day. Personally, my skin can take fragrance and I adore this product. It’s gentle, effective and feels amazing. There is also a rose version of the Elemis Cleansing Balm and there has been a limited edition Neroli version in the past too! Personally, my favourite is the OG, but the Rose and Neroli I loved too! I usually follow it up with a second cleanse, using the Elemis Pro-collagen Energising Marine Cleanser, which is a wonderful foaming gel cleanser. I use this in the morning as my main cleanse and evening as my second cleanse – it’s REALLY good!
How do you use Elemis Pro Collagen cleansing balm?
Use daily as a cleanser or weekly as a nourishing facial mask.
Step 1
Warm a pea-sized amount between palms and then massage over face, neck and décolleté with light circular massage movements.
Step 2
Moisten fingertips and continue to massage. Remove with a warm, damp cleansing cloth.
Step 3
For an intense nourishing treatment, apply a generous amount and leave for 10 minutes, before gently wiping away. Remove with a warm cleansing cloth and splash cold water to close pores again.
How long does Elemis Cleansing Balm last?
A full sized tub of Elemis Cleansing balm should be used every night and I find it lasts a good couple of months. The gel-based Marine Cleanser I mentioned above lasted even longer though, I have the super-size version and it’s been a good 6 months of twice daily use!
Can you leave cleansing balm on overnight?
No, you cannot leave a cleaning balm on over night. Whilst it makes a great 10 minute face mask, there is a cleansing element to this product, so it’s best removed and a night cream or a sleep mask should be applied overnight instead.
