Roja Parfums ‘Madison’ Review

My friends! Today I want to chat about Roja Parfums ‘Madison’. This is a fragrance which had been on my radar for a while because, well, firstly, I’m a huge Roja fan and I want to try EVERYTHING! And second of all, because I love Rose perfumes and I was SO sad when Roja discontinued the ‘Rose’ perfume a few years ago, if truth be told, I was hoping this perfume would fill the hole in my heart. Spoiler alert… it did and ‘Madison’ is better!!

Before we get into Roja ‘Madison’, I want to chat a little about ‘Rose’, as personally I think ‘Rose’ walked, so ‘Madison’ could run. The last time I smelt Roja Perfume’s ‘Rose’ was a few years ago, so forgive me if I have missed out any details, but if memory serves, it was a warm, rich, smooth and almost powdery perfume which was rich with notes of rose de mai. It was absolutely dreamy; soft, etherial, delicate, luxurious and made me feel super special when I wore it. However,  ‘Madison’ is next level! It has all the rose de mai etherial dreaminess of ‘Rose’, but with a little added magic! Imagine glorious powdery rose with hint of bergamot freshness at the top, with oodles of warm, luxe florals at the heart.  There’s a hint of cherry almond heliotrope, which blends beautifully with the delicious blackcurrant and the vanilla and sandalwood help give it a real additive quality. It still holds the same warm opulent powdery, rose de mai accords, but this time with a little extra excitement.

Roja ‘Madison’ make me feel elegant, special and quite frankly, like I’m living my best life! I LOVE rose and this perfume perfectly captured the Queen of Florals (focusing on Rose de Mai) with a little added sparkle! I love the addition of the playful blackcurrants, vanilla and violets mixed with warm rich sandalwood, cedarwood, resins, orris and frankincense. It’s a modern-traditional Rose de Mai fragrance and it’s wonderfully powdery, opulent and joyful. If you loved ‘Rose’, you will adore ‘Madison’, It’s taken me years to understand why ‘Rose’ was discontinued and I finally get it. ‘Madison’, you are magical!
