Goutal ‘Le Temps des Rêves’ Inspiration

“A return to the roots in Grasse, where dreams become perfume.
Le Temps des Rêves is a wander through these landscapes of a thousand bitter orange trees, where Annick Goutal began her training in the art of perfumery.
It distils the soft, comfortable and Mediterranean scent of orange blossom tinged with garrigue. Like a reverie that takes us back to the origins of perfume.”

Notes

Orange Blossom, Neroli, Bergamot, Myrtle, Flower Milk, Bran, Sandalwood

Goutal ‘Le Temps des Rêves’ Review

Before I start talking about Goutal ‘Le Temps des Rêves’, I need to tell you about the weather and my mood today…In short… It’s glum! I’m freezing, my feet are like ice blocks and even though the central heating is pumping out, I still feel the need to wear two scarves. The weather has turned and I’m struggling. I need coffee and a mood lifter… I needed a spritz of Goutal ‘Le Temps des Rêves’!

Goutal ‘Le Temps des Rêves’ is all about three dominant accords; Orange blossom, neroli and sandalwood. It’s a simple fragrance, no bells and whistles just high quality ingredients which blend beautifully together to create a stunning perfume. It’s everything I love about Goutal; simple, French, fresh, elegant and effortlessly chic. The orange blossom is bitter yet delightful, the neroli is green and fresh and the sandalwood is warm, slightly sweet and sensual. It’s not overpowering, nor is it a wallflower, it’s just wonderfully fresh, orange blossomy and lovely!

‘Le Temps des Rêves’ feels clean, classic and uplifting, it’s a million miles away from the sweet sickly orange blossom perfumes you find on the high street, it’s high quality, chic and effortlessly lovely! In short, it’s lifting my spirits and if you love high quality orange blossom based perfumes like Diptyque’s ‘Eau de Sens ‘or Aerin’s ‘Aegea Blossom’, then I think you will love this one too!
