My Simple Seaside Bedroom
My friends! Today I want to show you around my simple seaside bedroom! I wanted to keep this room really open and calm and because we live right by the seaside, I couldn’t resist painting it blue! One of the things I love about our house is that we have so many original features and our bedroom is no exception. It has beautiful stained glass windows, fireplace with original tiles, wood cladding, high ceilings and coving. I love Victorian houses and I’m so grateful ours has so much of it’s original charm!
Where’s All My Stuff?!
Y’all know I’m not a minimalist, but our room truly does look like this most of the time! We have a hefty walk in wardrobe where we can hide 99% of our things and our bedside tables are from Feather & Black and have three handy drawers where I keep most of my beauty products. I toyed with the idea of beautiful open bedside tables, but in reality, I needed them to hide everything neatly away and I love the leather look of these ones. They were kind of expensive, but I think worth it! Our bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom which is also super handy for storage and general proximity!
Favourite Things…
Ohhh where to start! Well, I LOVE my big Anthropologie Fringing light, it was pretty expensive, but worth every penny! I just love seeing it every day and it’s so big and beautiful! I think it really makes the room! I also love our blinds which my mum made for us, they are bespoke for our windows and made from Designers Guild fabric – A favourite of mine, I actually have the green colour way in our airbnb too! Finally, one of our biggest splurges had to be this original Tracey Emin signed print. I love her work so much and since she’s a Margate local, my boyfriend wanted to buy it for us when we moved in! We thought about having it in the kitchen, but eventually we went for the bedroom because it just seemed to fit this room better. On the fireplace, the bust form was £3 from a charity shop, the pineapple was a gift from my mum, I think it came from Sass & Belle and the candle is my DREAM Diptyque candle in the Fig scent. My favourite!
