This Works Legs, Heels & Stress-Check Feels
Hello friends! Today I thought I would do a short blog post about some summer treats I got from This Works. I’m sure you all know I have a DEEP LOVE for This Works, thanks to their iconic Pillow Mist, but I also have a lot of love for some of their other products, like the Deep Sleep Body Oil, the Sleep Together candle and the In Transit face cream to name a few. So, today I thought I would give you a few thoughts on some of the other products I’ve been using over the past few weeks, because we all need to stress-check ourselves right now. Let’s Go!
This Works ‘Perfect Heels Rescue Balm’
Firstly, I never go for pedicures, I don’t like people touching my feet and I have also had pedicures which take SO much skin off, my feet have been in utter pain for days after because the skin has been TOO soft. I walk a lot and I refuse to skip a week of dog walks because my heels are baby soft and too tender to walk on! Anyway, I hope this isn’t TMI, but I do sometimes suffer from cracked heels, so I am fastidious about using heel balms and foot creams to keep them hydrated and keep cracks at bay. The This Works Perfect Heels Rescue Balm is absolutely lovely. It smells incredible; really spa-y and herbaceous and it kind of does exactly what it promises, it’s a hard working balm which keeps cracked heels at bay, absorbs fast and is ultra soothing and hydrating. I usually moisturise my feet at night rather in the morning, and the super soothing scent is a nice pre-bed ritual. Absolutely LOVE this stuff and I’ll definitely be buying it again!
This Works ‘Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil’
I was super excited to try the This Works Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil as I have used the Deep Sleep body oil before and loved that. This Works legs oil can be used all over the body and is equally lovely just out of the shower, or pre-bed. It’s 100% natural, smells incredible, thanks to the cold pressed oils of sandalwood, rose, tuberose and evening primrose and generally, it’s just a lovely rich, hydrating, incredibly smelling body oil. It’s very soothing and relaxing and again, smells very spa-like and natural – because it is! This would also make a really beautiful massage oil if you or your partner has had a tough time and needs a quick neck and shoulder rub. Again, absolutely love the product, the only criticism I have is that I would love to see this presented in a glass bottle rather than plastic so it would be easier to recycle, but other than that, this product is stunning quality and a soothing spa-like dream to use!
This Works ‘Perfect Legs Skin Miracle’
I’m gonna give this to you straight up, I’m not into body products with a colour-tint. I would MUCH prefer this product if it didn’t have the caramel tint. Why? Because I have sofa-related anxiety and the idea of tinted body products and me being sweaty (I’m a really sweaty person!) and leaving a mark on my over-priced soft furnishings leaves me with so much dread, I just can’t handle it! I have issues, clearly, but if they ever made a non-tinted version, I would be SUPER into it! Speaking of which 242 people have left glowing reviews for this product (pun intended!) Just saying!
This Works ‘Stress Check Breathe In’
Finally, I absolutely LOVE the This Works Stress Check Breathe In. I keep it by my desk and use it like a perfume oil, it’s richly scented with cold pressed oils of eucalyptus, frankincense and lavender. It smells absolutely stunning and perfect for this hot weather; it’s clean, soothing and revitalising and because it’s alcohol-free, it’s much safer than regular perfumes in the sun. Think of it as a perfume oil, with added stress-relief benefits and if you are having a super tough day, keep reapplying it every few hours and each time, take a few moments to inhale the oils and destress!
