Summer Staycation QVC Haul!

My friends! Today I want to share my summer staycation QVC haul! Each item is inspired by Morocco which is a holiday destination I adore for it’s beautiful riads, incredible markets, endless spices, dry & hot climate and of course, the famous Jardin Majorelle. I went a few years ago and I absolutely adored it, it was only around a 3 hour flight, but it felt a world away and whilst it was super hot, it was a very dry heat (it hit 40 degrees the week I was there!) which made it way more bearable than Bali which was hot and humid. I always compare it to being in a sauna rather than a steam room, I am happy to bake in a sauna for way too long, where as I’m itching to get out of a steam room within minutes! Marrakech was a fabulous market-filled, sensory-overload, otherworldly sauna and I loved it. When QVC gave me the opportunity to choose Moroccan themed items from their home, beauty and fashion categories, I jumped at the chance! I am absolutely over the moon with everything I got and I’m so happy to introduce a little Marrakesh into Margate! Wanna see what I got in my QVC Haul? 

UltraSun Sun Cream 

First up! Every vacation needs a good SPF, especially somewhere as hot as Morocco! This UltraSun suncream has an SPF of 20, which is lower than I would normally use, but Marrakesh is actually super shaded, the old town is a maze of narrow streets and tall buildings so you are almost always in the shade. Despite it being 40 degrees there, I didn’t get a scrap of sunburn for that very reason! Regardless, I layered up with suncream and I suggest you do too, even if you end up in Cleethorpes this summer! UltraSun is a brilliant sun cream and this one comes with a hint of shimmer which gives your skin a lovely radiant finish. 

Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm

Next up, at the end of every day you want to take off every shred of make up, spf and dust, which is why I LOVE Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm! It cleanses the skin without stripping it and it smells like an absolute botanical dream! When I was in Marrakesh I was blown away by the smells of rich florals, hot earth, spices, woods and leather. I’m really into fragrance and this cleanser smells incredible! If you close your eyes when you apply it, it really does transport you somewhere else for a split second! And even if you have had too much sun, this product will take the day off with ease and comfort. I absolutely adore it!

I am obsessed with this stunning foot stool! I loveeee a good foot stool to add height, texture and comfort to a room but this one is so beautiful and unusual! I love the fabric, the colours and Of course, the Moroccan influence! It’s from the Edited By Erica Collection and I’m absolutely thrilled with the quality, finish and generous size of it! It reminds me of some of the hand woven blankets and rugs in the souks and it’s perfect in my Airbnb apartment. 

Lulu Guinness Cassidy Straw Bag 

I LOVE this Lulu Guinness Cassidy Straw Bag! It’s nice and big and it’s perfect for running errands or going to the beach… and hopefully next year I’ll be able to pack it in my suitcase and take it a little further afield! It’s a straw tote with cute handles and a cherry detail, It’s also got a cloth lining with a drawstring so it’s nice and secure too! Isn’t it the cutest?

…And there we have it! My Moroccan inspired QVC haul! I’m so happy with everything and even though I’ll be spending my summer in Margate, these pieces totally transport me back to when spent a blissful week in a Marrakesh riad! Thank you so much QVC for the wonderful treats!
