Roja Parfums ‘1819 Burlington’

My friends, today I want to tell you a little about the new fragrance from Roja Parfums ‘1819 Burlington’, which has been released to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the brands flagship store in the iconic London location. In case you haven’t been, Burlington Arcade is just off New Bond Street and it’s a beautiful arcade filled with wonderful stores. Fun fact, I got my engagement ring in a antique jewellery store in Burlington Arcade! If you are looking for ‘Old London’, Burlington Arcade is where you will find it and it’s truly a special corner of London and this fragrance takes inspiration from the landmark.

‘1819 Burlington’ According To Roja Dove…

“1819 celebrates 5 years of London’s Burlington Arcade being home to the flagship Roja Parfums boutique. An iconic British institution for over 200 years, the Burlington Arcade is an unparalleled destination for the discovery of opulence. Every step down the Arcade is a chance to discover something new. 1819 – the year it opened to the public – pays homage The Burlington Arcade being the perfect home for our award-winning perfumery, where the finest fragrances in the world wait to be discovered.” – ROJA DOVE.

Roja Parfums ‘1819 Burlington’

So, let’s chat about the fragrance! Roja Parfums ‘1819 Burlington’ opened with a burst of bright, fresh accords; grapefruit, lime, mandarin, bitter orange and mint. It’s intense, zesty and super citrus, Roja Dove compares it to the excitement of entering Burlington Arcade, which often feels more like a set from a classic film than a shopping district. There are no heart notes in this fragrance, instead the bitter orange at the top of the fragrance makes way for more of an orange bitters-style spice and warmth at the base. Blending with cumin, saffron, ginger and cinnamon with warm woods, amber, rum and tobacco. Because every afternoon in Burlington Arcade, needs to be ended with a rum cocktail in one of London’s oak and leather trimmed hotel bars. I tried this on my skin and it was a little too masculine for me too pull off, so in my opinion this is one for the men, so if you like your Roja fragrances fresh, citrus and warm with a base of deep woods, amber, leather and spice, this one is for you! It’s also a bit of a collectors item as only 100 bottles were made in it’s first production run and they sold out within a day!!!! They have promised to make more, but it’s unsure how many more production runs there will be, so if you want it, I’d advise you to contact them to see if there is a waiting list, or keep an eye on their Instagram and Roja Parfums website.
