Hello friends! Today I wanted to have a quick chat with you about how to be a Reward Style influencer. If you are a content creator looking to monetise your content with affiliate links, Reward Style are a great platform to use. It’s user friendly platform which is super easy to use, both on mobile and desktop, with amazing tech functions and they work with the best brands, which means you can monetise all your content across the fashion, beauty, home and family categories. However, they are notoriously hard to sign up to, so today I thought I would chat through a few tips on how to become a Reward Style influencer and share what THEY are looking for, so YOU know how you can improve your content to become a member. Once you are signed up to Reward Style, you are automatically able to start sharing on LikeToKnow.It, so if you want to be a LTK it influencer, you need to be a Reward Style influencer and sign up, because Like To Know It is part of Reward Style.

Why Reward Style?

Before we get started, I just wanted to share a few thoughts with you on why you should join Reward Style. Firstly, they have a super-user friendly platform and you can access their links REALLY fast. They have a plug in called ‘Link ninja’ where you just click the button and a pop up box will appear with your personalised affiliate link, which is SO much quicker and easier than building your own in another platform like AWIN.

Access To All Their Brands

Once you have been accepted onto Reward Style, you can access links for ALL the brands Reward Style work with, which is SO GOOD. So whilst it might take a little longer to get accepted onto Reward Style, once you are in, you are in with all their brands and retailers, which is SO much better. Where as with linkshare or AWIN, you can easily create an account, but you have to apply to each and every brand / retailer separately, which is a real nightmare and super time consuming too!

Education

Another reason I love Reward Style is because they are always trying to help creators be more successful. They give loads of amazing educational advice on how to create content, use best practices and generally be a better creator. They know that the more money we make as creators, the more money they make as a host, so they WANT to help us, which is amazing!

It’s a great way to find new followers and make some new sales too. Obviously your content has to be super amazing and it’s competitive trying to get a share, but if you do get one… wowzer! OK! Reward Style Influencer Requirements: Great Content

First and foremost, Reward Style are looking to work with content creators who produce amazing content. They are ALL about the quality, not the numbers. They like to see bright, beautiful engaging imagery which is beautifully shot and edited. They generally like images to be shot in daylight and they like clean backgrounds, natural lighting and engaging creators.

Have a scroll and be really honest with your quality of images compared to the influencers they are featuring.

Do you need to improve your backdrops, editing, lighting? Maybe your iPhone is old and not quite good enough for iPhone shots? Or maybe you are using a camera and you need to take it off auto and learn to shoot on manual. For instance, if you talk about high street beauty, you might be better applying to AWIN rather than Reward Style as AWIN work with Boots and Reward Style don’t.

Quality Control

Another thing Reward Style are looking for is consistent quality content so you might want to give yourself a bit of a quality control audit. For instance, if half your Instagram photos are shot by your professional photographer BFF and the other half are shot on an old iPhone in bad lighting, this might hold you back. Similarly, if you are taking beautiful images and your captions are filled with rants and swear words, you might need to think about that too. They like great quality content and they like it consistency. You content doesn’t need to be over produced, over staged or over edited, but it does need to be quality… so you might want to think again next time you go to post that hillllarrrrious friday night drunken photo!

Commitment

Being an influencer is a long game and growing an audience is a long, slow process. Even if you get a jump-start with a viral post, it can still be hard keeping it up, especially if you are producing high quality content across so many platforms. A lot of people start blogs / youtube channels / instagram accounts and find they just can’t keep it up, which is fair enough. Life is busy, y’know? Get A Referral From An Existing Member

Finally, you can apply yourself to be a member of Reward Style and you can get on this way, but in my experience, it’s much faster to get accepted if you have been referred by an existing member of Reward Style.
