I’m sure I don’t need to lecture anyone on the advantages of staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water. It truly impacts every inch of our bodies and has a positive impact on both our mental and physical health. I’ve never been a fan of squashes or flavoured waters, to me they have always tasted like melted ice lollies in a bad way and at the risk of sounding like my mum, they can taste like chemicals! What Is A Teapigs Cold Brew?
So, a Teapigs Cold Brew is like making an iced tea, with less effort. When you make iced tea you HAVE to brew the tea in boiling water for safety reasons and then you wait for it to brew, let it cool, chill over night, serve with ice… and it’s a whole big effort. Alternatively you could chop up fruits and herbs to infuse your iced water, which is lovely for a party, but less practical for every day. Teapigs Cold Brews give you the best of both worlds; all the flavour, speed and ease. You pop a Cold Brew bag in a jug or bottle of cold water, give it around 5-8 minutes to brew and enjoy. It contains all the natural loveliness of a teapigs tea with real ingredients, no added sugar or nasties, and it’s of course, completely safe to brew in cold water. Also, I’ve never been a fan of squashes so if you are worried these will taste like chemicals and artificial fruits, I promise, they don’t, they are made from the same high quality dried fruits and herbs as well as a tiny amount of natural flavourings to give them a little extra zing! Peach & Mango NEW: Naturally sweet and fun, it’s exotic and delicious with a blend of peach, mango, hibiscus, apple and beetroot!
Lychee & Rose: I’m not normally a fan of rose-infused food or lychee fruit, so I was surprised at how much I liked this one! It’s fun, fruity, nicely floral and generally delicious! Even if you don’t think you will be interested in a rose-infused cold brew, don’t give up on this one, because it’s SO delicious and playful!
Cucumber & Apple: My favourite of the collection, it’s cooling, invigorating and super fresh and delicious!
Teapigs X Sustainability
teapigs are members of The Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP); a not for profit organisation working to improve tea sustainability, the lives and livelihoods of tea workers and smallholder farmers, and the environment in which tea is produced. They also work closely with the Rainforest Alliance and already have a certification for their Everyday Brew and they are working to get this stamp of approval across the whole collection. Finally, just a little shout out to my new water bottle, it’s made by Joseph Joseph and it is impact-resistant and BPA-free triton plastic, meaning it’s super safe to drink out of and perfect for on the go, I’m talking dog walks, desk days and commuting when we are finally let out! Anyway, it’s a really lovely design, feels good to hold and a really nice drinking spout (is that what it’s called?!) also the spout is big enough to pop a teapigs tea bag into it. Anyway, that’s my post, I just wanted to let you know about the new teapigs Cold Brew flavour, because I have been a big fan of the existing flavours since they launched last year and I wanted you to know about the new flavour too! I hope you like this post and if you haven’t ever tried Teapigs, you really should! Their teas are the best (look out for Everyday Brew, Cleanse and Calm in particular!) and of course these cold brews too!
