My friends!!! I can’t believe I’m only just getting round to sharing this full article, but I’m SO proud to show you this amazing THREE PAGE FEATURE about our house in Self Build & Design Magazine. I honestly can’t believe after 4 years of crazy hard work and struggle, that we are finally here! I mean, this place was a crazy wreak when we bought it. It was a HOLE! It was so gross and scary I refused to go to the loo in the middle of the night alone because I was TERRIFIED!! And I’m not normally scared of that kinda thing, but honestly, this place was a shell when we bought it and we were so poor from buying a house we couldn’t actually afford to rent somewhere whilst we did it up, so we just did our best and lived in it the whole time.
Highs & Lows
I can remember dusting off the bed, because it was covered in builders rubble before I got in it. I can also remember not having a fridge for two years, not having a freezer for three years and having sheets at the window for a good two years also. It was intense and totally gross, but we GOT THERE and we made it into a magazine at the end of it! Which makes the whole thing feel like even more of a triumph!
Anyway, here’s the magazine feature and I’ve also popped in some ‘Before’ photos, because I want to remind you how far we’ve come! It’s been a wild ride, right?!
