Acqua Di Parma 'Camelia' perfume rose review

In Review…

Hello friends! I’m back with a new fragrance review and I’m so excited to share it with you all! As you might have guessed by now, I adore Rose-based fragrances and the classic Acqua Di Parma Rose Nobile perfume is one of my all time favourite perfumes EVER. It’s quite simply, glorious! So imagine my excitement when I discovered they have released a brand new rose fragrance, inspired by East Asia’s precious Rose, the Camelia.

Acqua Di Parma ‘Camelia’ oozes that signature AdP magic; Italian warmth, quiet opulence, magnetic charm and above all, nature and freshness. This fragrance opens with warmth and sunshine in the form of fresh mandarin and slightly smoky citrus bergamot. Which makes way for a richer, deeper and more sensual heart of floral rose, jasmine, clary sage and magnolia with a hint of spicy pink pepper and cardamom. There’s also a hint of lemon which keeps the freshness of the top notes alive. On the dry down, there’s sensual benzoin and musk; warm, romantic, soft, slightly sweet and oh-so elegant. There’s hints of nostalgia with this perfume, but also light, warmth and wonder. If I was to compare it to Acqua Di Parma’s Rosa Nobile, I would say it’s softer, slightly less playful and pink, and instead it’s rose takes a more romantic and elegant direction. Personally, I’d say it’s more of a subtle fragrance, which is something AdP are know for, not to say you don’t notice it, but instead of inspiring the words ‘I Love Your Perfume‘, it’s more of a ‘You Smell Wonderful‘ kind of fragrance.

Acqua Di Parma ‘Camelia’ is out now and available from Acqua Di Parma online and in-store, as well as Harrods, John Lewis and FeelUnique. This post contains press samples and affiliate links.
