Hello friends! I am back again with a new fragrance review and this time it’s from the wonderful, Jo Loves. In case you have been living under a rock for the past few years, Jo Malone, the woman behind the iconic brand, left the company she founded and created a new brand, Jo Loves. I’ve been following her new venture for a number of years now and fallen in love with fragrances like Jo By and Pomelo, and of course their Fragrance Paintbrushes, which are so much fun!

Anyway, their new fragrance, Rose Petal 25 is of course, inspired by the Queen of flowers, Roses. As a rose perfume lover, I was SO excited to try this perfume after all, Red Roses by JML (which was created by Jo herself) is one of my favourite fragrances ever, in fact, it could even be my favourite EVER perfume. I adore it! So, without further a-do, let’s chat about Rose Petal 25!

This perfume is as smooth as silk. There’s no burst of freshness at the top, instead it just cruises in with a soft, dewy, opulent Rose de Mai accord. It’s slightly green with morning rose leaves and green accents. There’s hint of lemon or lemongrass to lift the fragrance (not mentioned in the description, but I’m sure I can detect something), but on the whole it’s just warm, soothing, balancing, rose happiness. It’s the kind of fragrance which is part elegant and opulent, but it’s also calming and comforting. It feels good for your soul and well-being. The rose is just so balancing and soothing, I can’t imagine feeling stressed when I can smell this perfume, it’s like an embrace from Mother Nature. I’ve never walked through endless rose fields in Grasse, but I imagine this perfume is a slice of what it must feel and look like; Magical, balancing and breathtaking!
