…And It’s All From Elemis Skincare!
I’m obsessed with Katie Jane Hughes and her perfectly glossy skin. I mean, it’s gorgeous and she absolutely glows! Her skin is simply stunning! It’s radiant, glossy, plump and as she likes to call it, juicy! It reminds me a of ‘supermodel skin’, you know that glossy, glowy skin they love on the catwalk, only this she’s not using clever highlighters, HD powers and foundations, she’s got the real thing! Capital R, capital T. (Shout out to anyone who got, that, reference!) Anyway, this week a bundle of Elemis products dropped through my letter box and inside was a step-by-step guide on how to use them from Katie Jane Hughes and I swear, it was like a beam of light hit the box when I realised what this was! So, today my friends, I’m going to be sharing Katie Jane Hughes’ tips for getting her glossy, juicy skin using all Elemis products. Also, interestingly, I’ve used pretty much all these products before and whilst I love them all, (I mean, it’s Elemis, it’s great skincare) I’ve never used them in this way and in this combination before and I found it guide super helpful! I also realised there’s some really important steps I’ve been missing out too! Also, if you don’t know Katie Jane Hughes, check our her instagram and marvel at her skin! Anyway, I’ll get on with the post but I hope you find these tips as helpful as I have! Glossy skin, here we come!
Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm
Great skin starts with a great cleanser and this Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm is great for removing every last scrap of make up and dirt, also the Rose is super balancing and great for skin.
Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads
Katie says these resurfacing Facial Pads are the most important step and she never skips it. Take two pads gently sweep in a circular motion around the face, taking extra care to go over areas of that make up clings to and anywhere you might experience dryness.
Pro-Collagen Hydra-gel Eye Masks
Katie says to do your eye make up whilst wearing these Pro-Collagen Hydra-gel Eye Masks. Any eye make up that drops will be caught by the pads and won’t disturb the skin which is getting lovely and hydrated underneath!
Peptide4 Adaptive Day Cream
Katie says this moisturiser gives skin a great sheen, apply to the high points first, where you want the glow to last the longest throughout the day. Also rub in fairly lightly to keep some of the product on the surface of the skin for a glossy shine.
Pro-Collagen Insta-Smooth Primer
Because Katie is all about the gorgeous, glossy, bare skin, she tends not to use primers. However, she loves this product as she sees it as more of a skincare product rather than a primer. Apply to the T-zone (or wherever you need) to keep oil and shine under control.
Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil
This product is brand new and I’m really excited about giving it a good trial. Katie recommends adding a drop of the Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil to your foundation, and using your brush to twirl the two together to give your foundation a slightly lighter, dewier finish.
Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro-Mist
Finally, Katie recommendations using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro-Mist to give that final glossy finish. She says to mist in a downward, vertical motion so the product hits your high points where you want to reflect light the most.
Ta da! And there we have it! I hope this is of help to you, as much as it was to me! I am obsessed with Katie Jane Hughes’ skin, so I’m super happy to know her tips and tricks on how she works her magic! Also, don’t forget to drink lots of water, keep your intake of coffee and alcohol as low as possible and of course, eat lots of fruit and vegetables too! Thank you to Elemis for the products and the information!
