The BEST Vetiver Fragrances
Hello friends, as the seasons change, so do my fragrance tastes. I move away from opulent ambers, heady roses and smoky ouds and instead find myself wearing bright citruses, lush florals and green fragrances. With that in mind, today I want to chat all about one of my favourite fragrance accords, Vetiver. I love that dry green grassiness which is somewhere between lemongrass and hay. Are you ready to dive into the long grass and watch the Wimbledon highlights?!
I love L’Occitane Cedrat because it smells so much like their iconic bath and body products, only this one, lingers long after bath time! It’s fresh, clean, green, lemon-y and super uplifting. It’s delicate but still packs a punch and it’s the perfect fragrance to wear on those hot, hot days where you feel sticky and clammy all day. It should come with a guarantee which states you will feel clean, bright and a few degrees cooler when you wear it! Partially wonderful for the boys, but ladies can enjoy it too. Filled with notes of lemon, bergamot, ginger, cashmere wood and of course, fresh green notes. I love you L’Occitane!
Les Couvents des Minimes ‘Valparaiso’
Whilst most of the fragrances in this edit are very unisex, I would say Les Couvents des Minimes Valparaiso feels the most masculine of them all. Or maybe it smells exactly how I want a man to smell? I dunno! Perhaps it’s the dryness, the smokiness or the heavy spice, but smells like a wealthy and slightly dangerous man! I love it!
Miller Harris ‘Vetiver Insolent’
One of my favourite ever Miller Harris fragrances and I’m currently on my third bottle! I can’t get enough of this one! I’m talking about Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent, it was released at the same time as the iconic Tea Tonique and Rose Silence, all three are perfect perfumes but I think Vetiver Insolent is my favourite of the three and it’s also the fragrance which made me realise how much I adore the accord. Beautifully blended with bergamot, iris, black pepper, cardamon, amber and tonka bean. Stunning!
Vetiver, one of my favourite fragrances by Roja Parfums, it’s warm, dry, smoky, leathery vetiver, possibly the most beautiful vetiver I’ve ever tried, blended with opulent rose, jasmine, lemon, Bergamot, oakmoss, pepper and so much more. It’s a little more spend-y than some of the other fragrances, but in my opinion, it’s always worth splashing out on a bottle of Roja because it’s just so darn wonderful. I feel wealthy AF when I wear it! Also, this fragrance is technically for men, but I think it’s really unisex and I wear it often, the rose is much more dominant on my skin than it is on his which makes it a little more feminine on me. I love it!
Clean Reserve ‘Smoked Vetiver’
I love Clean Reserve fragrances, I don’t chat about them enough! They are very… Millennial! Y’know? Clean, translucent, super-ethical, sustainable and effortless elegant. Clean Reserve ‘Smoked Vetiver’ is smokey, fresh, grassy and lovely. Partially lovely for those who want more of a no-fragrance-fragrance. Contains notes of vetiver, myrrh, and cedarwood.
Imaginary Authors ‘The Soft Lawn’
Inspired by the Claude LeCoq book, The Soft Lawn, this fragrance smells like tennis courts; grass, warm clay and tennis balls, Imaginary Authors The Soft Lawn is a fresh, lively, green fragrance which includes notes of vetiver, Linden Blossom, Laurel & Ivy leaves, Oakmoss and of course, the scent of tennis balls! It’s a really fun and I’ve been wearing it a lot lately. Also, I adore the bottle, it’s designed to look like a book! Note to self: explore the Imaginary Authors collection further, I want to see what other gems they have created!
Ta da! And there we have it! The BEST Vetiver Fragrances, I hope you love them as much as I do! Also, this post contains some affiliate links and some press samples.
