May Favourites

I know I say this every month, but honestly, how is it May already??? I swear, these months are going so fast it’s starting to scare the bejesus out of me! Anyway! I’ve filled my month with fun activities, a lot of homewares and I’m not sure what else… shall we have a look!

Listening

As you might know, I’m a huge fan of podcasts. Lately I’ve been listening to Uncover: The Village, which is painfully sad and frustrating… although it is really worth listening to! I’ve also been listening to the new Like To Know It podcast as well as the latest series of This Is Love. I’ve also been listening to Household Name which is stories about brands you know and histories you might not. Also, the Kardashian mini series by One Plus One has been really interesting too!

Watching

I haven’t had a traditional TV for over 3 years now, but I watch shows on Netflix and Now TV. This month I have been watching The Case Against Adnan Syed, which I swear, took us 2 weeks to get through as we seem to have had such little TV time. I used to love watching TV, but I don’t get a chance to watch it at all these days. I listen to a lot of podcasts, because I can do that whilst I do other things, but TV is something I don’t seem to get around to at the moment. Oh and if you were wondering…. I didn’t watch Game Of Thrones!!! oh and this jumper is from Boden.

Kurt Geiger Swish Boots

OMG, can you believe I stalked these Kurt Geiger Swish Boots for about 2 years before I took the plunge and bought them?! No Joke! It’s insane! I don’t know why I waited so long but I love them so much!!

Bourjois Velvet The Pencil Lipsticks

These have only just launched, but I’m already a huge fan! They are the best lipsticks, they are more like a lip crayon, rather than a lip pencil. They apply like a smooth creamy lipstick and then dry into a matte velvet finish. They are light, comfortable and super long as lasting. Stunning! Give these Bourjois Velvet The Pencil Lipsticks a try, they are amazing!

Anthropologie Light

I stalked it for months on the Anthropologie website and eventually I took the plunge and went for it!!!! My brother hates it, my mum thinks it’s silly. But I think it’s fabulous and it’s my bedroom (well, ours!) so I think as long as my boyfriend loves it (which he does!) then it’s all ok! I’m curious though… what do you think of it??? I’m beyond overjoyed with it!

Bounty Milk Snacks

 This month I did a really fun collaboration with the new Bounty Milk Snacks and I’m not gonna lie… I am HOOKED on them! A little chocolate sponge, a LOT of coconut-y mousse and a later of milk chocolate. Delicious and totally addictive!!! Press play on the vid above to see how much I love them!

Matalan Bedding

The Matalan spring / summer homewares collection is STUNNING! I have bought (and been gifted) SO much of their bedding, including a palm print set as well as this floral set. I’m obsessed! It’s amazing how a £20 set of bedding can brighten up your bedroom and make you feel SO darn good!!!!

Cherry Blossom (+All The Other Blooms!)

This summer I’ve really appreciated all the stunning blossoms and all the beautiful blooms. It’s been so nice watching them come out and maybe it’s because I spend so much time walking Gordon, but I feel like I’ve noticed them more than ever this summer.

Lanaiblo Personalised Hairdryer

OMG! So I have lost my god hair dryer, I know it sounds crazy, but I can’t find it anywhere. However, lucky for me, I have this new Lanaiblo Personalised Hairdryer which I think I love even more! The colour is amazing, the power is phenomenal and honestly, it makes me feel like Barbie!!!!

Atelier Cologne ‘Pacific Lime’

I’ve recently gotten back into Atelier Cologne after not wearing them for… I dunno, a few months!? I love their uncomplicated fragrances which smell so natural and sun-soaked. I’m currently loving the Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime which is made up of notes of lime, lemon, coconut, spearmint and eucalyptus. It sounds like a weird combination but the citrus notes are the most dominant and the coconut and spearmint just add a little sweetness and freshness, it’s subtle but it works!

Marks & Spencers Round Leather Handbag

I’ve officially jumped on the ’round handbag’ trend. I LOVE this Marks & Spencers Round Leather Handbag, it’s beautiful brown leather and it’s got a gold tone ring handle. I’m loving it and at £39, it’s a steal! I’m all about the M&S this month!!!

Marks & Spencers Floral Midi Dress

…And also from Marks & Spencers, I got this Floral Midi Dress. I’ve been wearing this dress non-stop. It’s so easy to wear. I love the relaxed fit the pretty floral print and the breeziness of it. It’s perfect for summer days! Side note, It’s SO good to see M&S back on top!!!!!

Sugaring London Cactus Wall

Have you ever seen a more beautiful wall of cacti?! It’s at Sugaring London in Notting Hill and Lordy! I’m obsessed!!!! Isn’t it dreamy? I’m going to make an appointment soon to get a treatment, I’m a hairy lady and it makes sense y’know?

A Trip To Folkestone

This month I took a mini road trip to Folkestone with Danielle of It’s A Danielle Life. It was the most beautiful sunny day and we spent our time having lunch, seeing all the public art and even doing a spot of shopping. Best piece of advice, ‘enjoy the free in freelance’ and it’s so true. Take that time off, have yourself a time, you’ll come back refreshed!

Nuxe ‘Huile Prodigieuse Florale’

This month, I went to the most amazing dinner in honour of the new Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Florale! It was held at Petersham Nurseries and it was flower-filled and fabulous! I’m big into the classic Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, it’s the most amazing oil for face, body and hair and it smells like summer holidays! This new addition has a stunning twist of florals and oh Lordy, I LOVE IT! Thank you for inviting me to your dinner Nuxe!
