Acqua di Parma ‘Cipresso di Toscana’

Hello friends, today I want to share a new fragrance with you all which my boyfriend is utterly obsessed with! It is of course, Acqua di Parma ‘Cipresso di Toscana’. It’s inspired by the landscape of Tuscany; lush, sun-drenched greenery, orange trees and the ever-green Cypress tree. It opens with notes of Star Anise, Elemi, Orange and Petit Grain, the heart is filled with comforting sage and lavender and the base is rich with green pine and woods. The dominant notes are orange and Cyprus pine, the petit grain acts almost as a bridge between the two, adding depth to both the green and citrus accords. The star anise adds a touch of liquorish-like notes to the fragrance, whist the sage and lavender add a sense of well-being to the fragrance. Both clean, herbaceous and classic. For me, ‘Cipresso di Toscana’ is everything I want from Acqua di Parma. It’s oozes Italian charm; It’s fresh and clean, warm and sun-filled, powerful but not intrusive. One thing to note, it’s listed on some retailers as a unisex fragrance, some stores categorise it as male, others as female. Personally, I say if you love it, wear it, but I do tend to go for quite masculine fragrances and I personally find this one a little much for me, it smells like I’m wearing a male cologne if I’m honest, plus it suits his skin so much more than my own. So, if you love that classic Acqua di Parma bright, masculine, lush-Italian vibe, then you will love this one! It’s a classic!
