A Few Thoughts On Stories By Eliza Grace
My friends, I want to share a few thoughts a new perfumery brand I’ve recently fallen in love with, Stories by Eliza Grace. There’s only two fragrances in the collection; Stories No. 01 and Stories No. 02, but alongside the matching Bath & Body products, it feels like a small, but perfectly formed collection. It gives the brand a sustainable, well-considered and concise vibe, which seems perfectly apt for 2019. There’s a theory there’s only seven stories in the world and everything is an adaptation from these seven basic plots. Perhaps one day, founder Tonya Kidd-Beggs will add five more stories to the collection, but for now, much like books on my bedside table, two stories is enough to be getting on with! Let’s explore shall we?
Stories NO. 01
The first fragrance from the collection is Stories No. 01. It’s a citrus fragrance which opens with a blend of bergamot, grapefruit and orange blossom. It’s filled with sunshine and fruits, with the warmth of cedarwood, a delicate touch of jasmine, cherry-like heliotrope and a green fig. At the base of the fragrance you’ll find amber, sandalwood ad vetiver. It’s fresh, elegant, green, earthy and really modern. Absolutely stunning.
Stories NO. 02
The second fragrance in the collection is Stories No. 02, it’s a little more floral, slightly gourmand and a little more sensual. It opens with a blend of bergamot, Bulgarian rose, ginger, cardamom and green tea. It’s got warm honey tobacco notes and cedar wood as well as earthy tonic bean, amber, musk and tonka bean. It’s warm and rich, but at the same time has a translucency which softens the fragrance. Again, it feels warm, elegant, fresh, modern and exciting. There’s something about this fragrance which reminds me of the old classics, but with a real modern, fresh twist.
Bath & Body Collection
Both Stories have an accompanying Hand & Body Wash and Hand & Body Lotion. Both smell just as beautiful as the fragrance and when used together, help to add a little extra depth and longevity to the fragrance. The wash contains aloe vera, coconut oil and pro-vitamin B5 to cleanse, soothe and nourish skin. As for the lotion, it leaves skin super soft and nourished with a blend of shea butter, aloe vera, sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, marula seed oil and argan kernal oil. A dream!
…And there we have it, the Stories by Eliza Grace collection. It’s truly lovely and I can’t wait to see what stories are released next. Oh and I hugely recommend going for the larger sizes of all products as they are far better value for money. I have the smaller sizes as they are press samples, but the larger sizes will last way longer and cost not much more. I hope that helps, see you soon! xxxx
