OMG! HOW IS IT MAY ALREADY?!?! I know I say this every single month, but this year is flying by fast! I’m not sure what I’ve been doing, probably walking gordon and eating reduced Easter chocolates I bulk bought from Morrisons last week. Seriously, I cleaned up, they accidentally reduced the Lindt Lindor and I bought 8 boxes!!! That should probably be one of my fave things actually! Anyway, here are my April Favourites… enjoy! And let me know what you think!
Acqua Di Parma ‘Rosa Nobile’ Perfume
One of my all time favourite perfumes and I just got a new bottle of it. It honestly makes me SO happy! It’s such a beautifully fresh and modern rose, all the lush florals you would expect, but also hints of citrus to really brighten it up. Acqua Di Parma Rosa Nobile a true perfumery joy!
New Bathroom Blind
For the past 2 years we have had Ikea blinds up at our bathroom windows and we’ve finally been able to upgrade them for these stunning handmade Designers Guild blinds! My mum made them for us and honestly, I LOVE them so much!!!!! They fit the window to perfection and the print is just stunning! I love looking at the every morning when I’m bathing! Aren’t they special?
I’ve been a huge fan of Jurlique products from a long time now, they are so wonderfully beautiful, I can’t get enough! Jurlique is an Australian brand and they even have their own rose farm (one day I’m gonna go!) and they have the most beautiful rose-based products. The hand cream is amazing, the face mist is stunning and the facial skin care is also a dream. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about them! They’ve just updated their packaging so it looks just as lovely in my bathroom as it feels on my skin. If you are like me and you love rose-filled beauty products, you need to try Jurlique! I did a squeal of happiness when these surprise treats dropped through my letterbox, thank you Jurlique!
This month I have been loving listening to the older episodes of This American Life on the TAL app. I bought it a while ago and it cost around £2.99 and honestly, it’s 100% worth it. So much good content. Plus it’s nice being able to listen to episodes according to different editors top picks, it’s also nice having the freedom to listen to just an act or two from each episode. Aside from that, I’ve also been loving the new series of Uncover: The Village.
This month, I finally watched Crossroads the Britney Spears ‘coming of age’ movie from forever ago! It wasn’t as much fun as I expected, I thought it was going to be more girly road trip, with some iconic looks and quotable lines, instead it was actually pretty dark. However, it was was deffo worth watching and I was surprised that Britney is actually a pretty good actress. Also, I’ve spent a lot of time this month thinking about Britney, I’m #TeamBritney and #FreeBritney all the way, this conservatorship needs to end. Whilst I don’t double her MH problems are very real and very serious, I also think she’s capable of running her own life; hiring a business manager, PA and anyone else she might need around to help her manage her businesses, busy life and family. She’s Britney F**king Spears, she can do this!
Molton Brown ‘Geranium Nefertum’ Collection
OK! So I know I’ve just done a big blog post about how much I love this Molton Brown collection, but I just wanted to shout it out again, because it’s truly lovely! It smells like geranium, figs, leaves and sandalwood and I can’t get enough of it! Read my full blog post here.
L’Oreal Paradise Extatic Mascara
I rarely cover mascaras as I’m not a huge fan of wearing mascara. Sure it makes my eyes look bigger, but generally it feels like a necessary evil in my make up routine; I hate it when it feels heavy and I hate it when it takes forever to dry because I often end up sneezing and ruining it all and I hate it when it’s a b*gger to remover at the end of the day. My fave mascara is Too Faced Better Than Sex, I think it’s worth the hype, it’s the best mascara I’ve ever found; thickening, lengthening, comfortable to wear, smudge, budge and flake proof and pretty easy to remove. This L’Oreal Paradise Extatic mascara is very similar to TF’s BTS mascara it just works, y’know?!
Heinz Korean Style Sticky BBQ Sauce
Before anyone accuses me of being sponsored for this, I’m not. In fact, I wish I was because I would have asked Heinz to send me a gallon of this stuff! I bought it from Morrison’s (along with my reduced Easter eggs!) and honestly, I think it’s the best BBQ sauce I’ve EVER had!! It’s so good, I went back two days later to buy more and they only had one bottle left, so I bought it (obvs) and then when Jon was in Morrison’s later that that week he bought another 4 bottles. IT’S SO GOOD!!!!
Teapigs ‘Spearmint Candy’
There ain’t no tea like a teapig tea! Am I right!? This month I have strayed away from my usual teapigs Peppermint Tea and instead onto teapigs Spearmint Candy tea. It’s SO good and it’s currently on offer, so if you want some, hurry up and get it!
Colourful Beach Huts In Herne Bay
On my boyfriends birthday we found ourselves broken down in Herne Bay! No joke! We were on our way to the woods for a dog walk and we had stopped by Herne Bay to pick up a lamp we had bought on eBay, when the car went into recovery mode and sloowwwwwedddddd way down! Luckily the AA were out in a jiffy, told us we were fine and whilst we waited we walked up the coast with Gordon and swooned over all the colourful beach huts. Aren’t they lovely?
French Style Sofa
I got this French style sofa off eBay, I basically just paid the postage on it (well, shipping!) and honestly, I’m smitten with it! Also, can we talk about how handsome gordon looks lounging on it? He’s such a good looking pup!
Light from Matalan
If you had told me a couple of years ago what a huge fan of Matalan I would become, I wouldn’t have believed you! My boyfriend and I find THE BEST items from there, this 70s style beaded chandelier is no exception! It’s hanging pride of place in our hallway and honestly, I LOVE IT! plus when it’s dark, the light shines through all the beads and makes the most beautiful shadows on the ceiling!
Anthropologie Ring Holder
I bought this Anthropologie Ring Holder on sale a couple of weeks ago and weirdly, this cute little trinket makes me so happy! It stores my rings stylishly! Man, I wish I didn’t love Anthropologie as much as I do!
By far my fave dress this month! It’s from Matalan, it costs £20 and my friends… IT’S GOT POCKETS! It’s a really easy fit, a really fun print and a great length for the summer too! Honestly, for £20, you just can’t go wrong. Shop it here! Oh and there’s so many amazing things from Matalan right now, if you’re not in the habit of popping in, you really should!
Crocs With Amsterdam
This month I went to Crocs with Amsterdam, we just went for the day but it was a whole lotta fun! Above are the Crocs I customised and I’m SO excited about wearing them this summer! They are super comfortable and my friends, in case you didn’t know, Crocs are the coolest shoes to be seen wearing this summer. It’s true, I promise!
…And there we have it friends! All my favourites from this month… I hope you like and please let me know what your favourites are! PS. This post contains some product samples, but as always, all views are my own.
