The Best Hair Mists (+ Why Hair Perfumes Are A Great Way To Wear Fragrance)

The Best Hair Mists

The latest trend in fragrance seems to be hair mist and my friends, I’m so on-board! I’m a long time fan of misting fragrance into my hair (and clothes!) as scent clings to hair and clothes far more effectively than it does skin. The only thing is, I worry that long term, perfume could do damage to my hair with daily use.

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel so much more confident if I know I smell good and there is honestly nothing worse than skipping a hair wash, only to realise that your hair smells of last nights dinner and you’re stuck with stinky hair all day. Similarly if my hair blows in the wind and I get a whiff of something fabulous, I feel as desirable as Bella is to Edward when the fan blows in her direction in science class. Y’know what I’m saying?

Diptyque ‘Eau Des Sens’

Ah! Let’s start with a banger shall we?! I’m obsessed with Diptyque at the best of times, but Eau Des Sens is one of my favourites! It’s bright and zesty with dominant notes of orange blossom, citrus, light florals and earthy patchouli. It’s fresh, summery and really uplifting. It’s rich with fatty acids to help nourish hair and as for the scent, it makes me feel like a summer babe!

Soap & Glory ‘Fresh Hair Supply’

Soap & Glory ‘Fresh Hair Supply’ is the most affordable of the edit and it is enriched with argan and marula oil to give hair a healthy shine and hydration. It’s scented with their iconic Original Pink fragrance and apparently includes odour neutralising-ness!

Acqua Di Parma ‘Rosa Nobile’

I’m a huge fan of Acqua Di Parma ‘Rosa Nobile’, I have worked my way through oodles of bottles of this fragrance as well as the candle and now the hair mist. It’s one of my all time favourite fragrances and one of the best rose fragrances you’ll ever find! It contains a conditioning agent to leave your hair soft and shiny, and it smells like fresh roses, with bergamot, pepper, peony and violet. It’s stunning!

Thameen ‘Riviere

Possibly the most impressive hair mist of the collection, ThameenRiviere‘ contains Keratin, proteins vitamin B5 and argan oil to help strengthen, support and add shine. Fragrance wise, it contains notes of rose, saffron, black pepper and Amber. It smells incredible, I adore anything with rose, but if this isn’t your style, there’s plenty of other stunning fragrances to choose from with Thameen, they have a lovely selection of hair mists, all packed full of hair-boosting goodness!

Molton Brown Suede Orris Hair mist

Molton Brown ‘Suede Orris’

Regular readers (all 5 of you!) might remember me chatting about Molton Brown ‘Suede Orris‘ a few weeks ago. It’s the most beautiful soft, warm, powdery and suede-y fragrance which not only comes as a fragrance, shower gel and body lotion, but it also comes as a hair mist. This is the first time Molton Brown have ever created a hair mist and my friends, it’s a dream!

Carolina Herrera ‘Good Girl’

Is it just me that is tickled by the fact that this Carolina Herrera ‘Good Girl’ hair mist is shaped like a shoe and available exclusively to Boots?! If you aren’t familiar with the fragrance already, it’s super sexy, powerful, confident and elegant. It contains notes of rose, jasmine, orange blossom, cedar wood, cashmere, amber and musk. It’s really beautiful and this shoe is the perfect dressing table accessory as well as being a fabulous hair mist. This one is the best after-hours hair mist!

cartier hair mist

Cartier ‘Carat’

Inspired by glittering diamonds, Cartier ‘Carat’ contains notes of violet, iris, daffodil, honeysuckle and tulip. It’s a real fresh floral and slightly powdery fragrance and contains nourishing oils to add shine and hydration. It’s also in a great travel-friendly bottle.

I’ve never heard of hair mists before. The Diptyque one sounds lovely – I’ll have to give it a try!

Hair mists?! How did I not know about this? I’m in LOOOVVEE. Smelling good is a necessity. I think my biggest joys come when someone tells me I smell good (or that i smell like expensive perfume… that one gets me). Adore this post❥
