Atelier Cologne ‘Iris Rebelle’
“He was drawing obsessively, invading her space as if he were alone. But when she changed her seat he could not stop staring at her… Days later backstage, she was nervously breathing as the crowd was waiting for the ballet to start. At that moment, she unexpectedly saw him in the front row. All at once, she felt strong and calm, as if they were alone.”
Iris, Orange Flower, Gaiac Wood
Hello friends, I wanted to stop by a share a few thoughts on a Atelier Cologne Iris Rebelle Cologne. It’s a funny one, as at first I didn’t think this perfume was for me, but the more and more I wear it, the more and more I grow to love it. It contains a lot of accords I’m not normally drawn to; namely, Orange Blossom and Iris, but together, along with a little Gaiac wood, I’m hooked! I’m getting all kinds of vintage vibes of precious silks, books and attic trunks filled with treasures and I love it. Atelier Cologne Iris Rebelle has a mystery and darkness to it; sultry orange blossom, vintage iris flowers and smoky woodiness with a powdery trail. It’s got total ‘Old Hollywood’ vibes, but instead of being sun soaked and lavish, filled with Marilyn Monroe-esque red roses, it’s different side of glamour; more dark bars, cabaret shows and silent films for leading ladies like Marlene Dietrich (who apparently wore a violet based perfume in her 20’s before moving onto fragrances filled with woods, leather and tobacco softened with tuberose, amber and vanilla) It’s a really beautiful perfume, but much like you might expect from a perfume with ‘Rebelle’ in the title, it’s also very cool and a little edgier. If you love fragrances like Miller Harris L’Air de Rien and Surge Lutens Iris Silver Mist, then you need to try this one too! Also, If you don’t know Atelier Cologne yet, you need to hop on board. Their fragrances are simple, elegant and really exciting. I’m a big fan and I have a feeling, you will be soon too!
Atelier Cologne Iris Rebelle Cologne is out now and available from Atelier Cologne Stores, or online at Selfridges, but please note that I have the 30ml bottle and Selfridges only have the 100ml bottle which is priced at £165.
