Kitsch B*tch! The Gift Guide For Everyone Who Loves A Little 90’s Nostalgia!
Actually, I’m lying, there’s a couple of things in here which are more 80’s than 90’s, but it didn’t have the same ring to it, so I used a little literarily licence. These gifts are all from Truffleshuffle.co.uk which is basically a one stop shop for all the guys and gals who can’t leave the past behind and there’s some great stocking fillers in here as well as secret wants gifts… shall we dive in?
Polly Pocket Socks
Yep! You heard me right! These Polly Pocket Socks are so sweet they give me a toothache! (A little Clueless reference for you there, I told you this post had a 90’s theme!). They come as a set of three, in a VERY cute presentation box and every pair comes complete with a Polly Polly motif and a lace frill. If these aren’t the most kawaii christmas gift ever, I don’t know what is!
Awesome 80’s Trivia Cards
Is Christmas Christmas without some family games? Sure you can play Monopoly for the 1,000,000th time, but instead, you could play this Awesome 80’s Trivia Game. Test your knowledge with questions like ‘Who is the lead singer of Blondie?’ (if you don’t know the answer to this one, I don’t think we could be friends!) and ‘What is the name of the hero in Master Of The Universe? (I’ll forgive you if you don’t know this one!). At £4.99 they are a super fun game for christmas day and they would also make a great secret santa gift! #ThankMeLater.
Friends Door Mat
Could this Friends Doormat be any more cooler?! I think not! It’s winter, everyone needs a new doormat to wipe their rain-sodden muddy feet and this one basically let’s you know you are hot as you walk through the door, in a Joey Tribbiani voice, of course! Perfect for any new homeowner or Friends super-fan! Oh and at £15.99, it’s a great (albeit bulky!) stocking filler! Enjoy!
Vintage Style Vinyl Coasters
Oh! I had a REALLY tough choice with this one! I love these Vintage Style Vinyl Coasters, but there is also VERY cool Nintendo NES Cartridge Coasters, which are equally amazing! At £9.99 and £5.99 respectively, they both make great secret santa gifts, especially for the office. They are also great stocking fillers for all the new homeowners who (like me) are super paranoid about ruining their prized vintage coffee table with mug rings. I think the vinyl coasters are my fave, but which do you prefer?
Pop Culture Mugs
When it comes to pop culture mugs, Truffleshuffle.co.uk have the BEST selection! From My Little Pony to Rainbow Brite, The Raccoons to Friends. They have it ALL! I have 6 of these now and I often put them in our Airbnb because I think they are the cheeriest way to start the day! The only drawback is choosing your favourite, there’s almost too many good ones, which is probably why I have 6 of them! oops! Oh and most of them are £7.99 each, again, making them a great secret santa gift, or a stocking filler!
Disney The Aristocats Marie Bath Milk Carton
Seriously! Could this be anyyyyy cuter?! This carton of milk, well, bath milk, features the oh-so-cute Marie from the Aristocats and at £6.99 it’s just the sweetest treat to find in your stocking! Also, it’s not tested on animals (although it’s Marie-approved!) and it smells of peony and cherry blossom. Meow!
Disney Beauty and The Beast Mrs Potts Teapot
Finally, I have the creme de la creme of nostalgic christmas treats! This Disney Beauty and The Beast Mrs Potts Teapot!!! It’s beautiful quality, made of porcelain and nice and big! I’ve see a lot of Mrs Potts cups and what-not around recently, but IRL, a lot of them look a bit cheap and well, lacking magic. Do you know what I mean?! If so, then fear not, this teapot is super special and looks an feels like a quality teapot! Sure the be the pride of place on any sideboard! Earl grey or builders?
And there we have it! My super kitsch, uber-90’s (and occasionally 80’s) nostalgia gift guide! I hope it’s been helpful, all the items are of course from Truffleshuffle.co.uk and a huge thank you to them for gifting me these treats!
