Ten Beauty Launches I’m Super Excited About!

The change of season always brings a flurry of new and exciting beauty launches and this summer is no exception. I’ve dug around and found ten of the beauty launches which I’m personally most excited about. Let’s go!

Pixi ‘Glow-y Gossamer Duo’ Highlighter

Pixi are known for their glossy and glowy skin, but this time, Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo Highlighter gives radiance from the outside. I think the reason I’m so into this highlighter is because it’s super luminous with a silvery tone to it. So it’s perfect for us pale girls (I get so sick of highlighters which are darker than my skintone!!) but without the tint of purple you often get in the paler highlighters. It’s also got a stunning silky texture! LOVE! PS. The shade is called ‘Delicate Dew’.

Too Faced ‘Born This Way’ Concealer

With this crazy hot weather, I’ve been using more tinted SPF face creams and BB creams as foundations seem too heavy for the weather. I’m scared it will all start to drip down my face. Glam right?! Anyway, as much as I love to wear a BB cream rather than a foundation, I’ve been needing a hardcore concealer more than ever for my under-eye and blotchy skin. This Too Faced Born This Way Concealer is exactly what I needed, super strength, long lasting and as sweat proof as you get. Ugh! Will this heatwave ever end?!

Braun Silk-épil 9 Epilator

I have a previous edition of the Braun Silk-épil Epilator, but I have just upgraded to the Silk-épil 9 and it’s SO MUCH BETTER!!!! Literally my legs are like lawns and it can take a sweet time to get them hair-free, but this one is ON FIRE!! It does the job so much quicker and I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but I swear it hurts slightly less too, maybe it’s just because it’s over and done with so much faster, but it’s really good! And yes, I know chatting epilators isn’t very glam, but when you are as hairy as I am, it’s important!

Aveda After Sun Hair Masque

Is the sun giving your hair a beating? Mine too! At first I was loving the suns effect on my roots and adding in a few natural highlights, but now it’s just looking a bit dry and tired. Enter: Aveda After Sun Hair Masque, it’s designed for sun exposed hair to add a little life, nourishment and restoration into over-exposed hair. I’m not normally a fan of hair masks as I hate standing in a cold shower for 2-5 minutes waiting for it to take effect but during this heatwave… I’m fine with it!

Art Deco Strobe Stick

This reminds me a little of the Ciate Dewy Stix, but it’s got a little more shimmer to it. It’s clear except with a tiny amount of lilac / pink shimmer particals and it just gives a really glossy glow to your skin. If you like glossy skin rather than ‘highlighted’ skin, then I can’t recommend the Art Deco Strobe Stick enough. I LOVE it! Perfect for summer days when all you need is minimal make-up with good brows, glossy skin and a swipe of lipstick.

Models Own ‘Glitter Mix’ Palette

OK, so I’m not sure how much wear I’m personally gonna get out of this palette, but I’m still mega excited about it as all the other bold and bright super-shimmer glitter palettes are SO much more expensive. In fact, most of them don’t even come as a palette, you have to buy each individual pot. However, with the Models Own Glitter Mix Palette, you get 10 super-popping glitters which sit over your eyeshadow and give you that insta-glitter look for just £14.99. Brilliant!

Lancôme ‘Teint Idole Ultra Wear’ Blush Stick

OK! So this is NOT a product for right now, because my face is FLUSHED AF at the moment, but I am SO excited about this one for winter. I’ve always loved a bright red blush, I think it looks SO cute and it’s just a look I adore. However, you don’t see many bright red blushes around because it’s a look that a lot of people are kind of scared of. Anyway, I’m hoping the release of this Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Blush Stick will signal the beginning of a red-blush trend and even if it doesn’t, I’m personally SO happy to add this into my make-up bag!!

L’Occitane ‘Verveine’ Icy Body Gel

All you need to know is three simple words: Icy, Body and Gel. This sat in the corner of my office collecting dust and then the heatwave came and I started applying it before bed. It’s cooling, soothing and that’s everything I need right now! Plus L’Occitane Verveine Icy Body Gel smells like a dream. Honestly, I have so much love for L’Occitane products!

Clinique ‘Dramatically Different’ Hydrating Jelly

I shared this product on my instagram the other day and everyone went nuts for it! It’s the Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly, it’s a clear jelly; lightweight and hydrating. PLUS it adds a barrier of protection between your skin and the environment, protecting it from all the nasties and pollution in city air. Rumour has it that a lot of chefs have started using it too because it helps protect their skin in a hot, steamy and smoky kitchen. Personally I like it because it’s the perfect consistency for summer and it’s super fast absorbing too!

BeautyMart Macaroon Lip Balm

I have oodles of lip balms, but none quite as cute as this BeautyMart Strawberry Macaroon Lip Balm! It’s smells like strawberry and tastes like strawberry and it’s filled with good stuff like shea butter and cocoa butter. No parabens or petroleum round here thank you!
