Lalique 'Rêve d’Infini' perfume fragrance review

In Review…

I love wearing perfume, it makes me SO happy! However, there are so many facets to my perfume personality (if that is even a thing!); There’s the side of me who loves super fresh, zesty citrus fragrances filled with figs, lemon and mandarin, whilst there is another side of me who loves rich heavy ouds balanced with notes of red rose, amber, vanilla and jasmine.

Today, I want to chat about the part of me who craves a little vintage glamour in her fragrance wardrobe. I love the screen sirens of the 50’s and I adore the idea of a power-filled dressing tables with silk robes, red roses and the faint scent of setting lotion and hairspray. Whilst some people might mistake these fragrances as ‘old fashioned’ I think of them as classic, elegant, fabulous and sexy! Right now, it’s Lalique Rêve d’Infini is giving me all the vintage feels and I love it so much!

Lalique Rêve d’Infini opens with notes of sweet lychee, smoky citrus bergamot and classic Freesia. The heart is filled with notes of dusty peach, heady rose and warm accords of cedarwood. At the base of the fragrance there is sweet vanilla, sensual musk and warm, sweet sandalwood. It’s hard to pick out the dominant notes, because the fruits and florals blend so perfectly together with the base notes and give the fragrance give a really cohesive air of soft, sweet, elegant etherealness. There’s a real mood to this perfume, it’s like a stolen moment from another era and another world. I adore the soft focus feel and the powdery tones, it’s one for all the vintage girls out there and if you love the classics as much as I do, I think you will adore this one!

Lalique ‘Rêve d’Infini’ is out now and available from Harrods and it is priced at £100 for a 100ml bottle.
