Be still my beating heart! I have fallen in love with a new perfume and I feel like I’m cheating on all my other perfumes because I can’t stop wearing it! But what can I say, the heart wants what it wants and right now, I want Moresque Contessa. However, it’s only available at Harrods, so if you don’t live in (or near) London, you might want to stop reading, because this isn’t the kind of perfume you buy blind, not with this price tag. However, if you are keen on perfumes which are fabulous and intrinsically ‘Harrods Fragrance Hall’, then keep reading… this one’s for you!
Moresque Contessa is fabulous, it’s unashamedly feminine with and air of confidence and excitement. It’s the perfect mix of classic, modern, moody, uplifting, sweet and spicy, all wrapped up in a heady, intense bow! At the top of the fragrance you will find spicy pink pepper and nutmeg, with a touch a star anise and bergamot to give it a little freshness. At the heart of the fragrance you will find the richest, most beautiful blooms of rose, ylang ylang and jasmine, perfectly captured and oh-so-luxe. To describe the florals, I would ned you to remember feeling you get when you walk into a flower shop filled with the creme de la creme of flowers; Those huge Bulgarian roses, rare orchids and hydrangeas in a multitude of hues, well that’s the difference between the flowers you’ll find in Contessa compared to the local supermarket, they are expertly breed and harvested to make the most perfect ingredients for your perfume and you can see, feel and smell it! At the base of the perfume, there a deep, intense collection of warm resins (amber), earthy tonka bean, addictive vanilla and sensual musk. What can I say, I’m absolutely smitten with Moresque Contessa and whilst I know it’s too rich and heavy for some palettes, it’s right up my street! If you love roaming the Harrods fragrance halls as much as I do, then you need to try Moresque Contessa, it’s fabulous!
