Here we are, the end of January! The longest and laziest month of the year! I swear, my month has been spent having long lie-in’s, watching Friends and generally sitting around playing with make up. Pinkie Promise I’ll be on top of my sh*t in February… no really!

Sale Shopping

Damn guys! I have been LOVING the January sales! I didn’t expect to shop so much this month, but I found some amazing items on sale! I trawled the online sales for beautiful homewears and clothes and I press that ‘add to basket button’ time and time again!!! Favourites include these Anthropologie beauties, oodles of ASOS dresses & Boden Breton  tops. Also, when it comes sale shopping (and general internet shopping) I always make sure the store has free shipping (or at least affordable shopping) and free returns. I once spent £13 on trying on a dress, purely because the brand had a ridiculous £9 postage charge and then didn’t cover returns either so I spent an extra £4 posting the dress back (they insisted it had to be via a tracked Royal Mail service). It was one of those watershed moments, I realised I’m not going to be fooled into spending £13 on trying on a dress ever again! Always check the shipping charges before you buy, as well as the return shipping fees. If you don’t like them, look for the same item sold through a different stockist, it’s possible the dress (or whatever you are buying) will be available elsewhere and with better shipping / returns deals. Oh the watch in the photo above is from ASOS and it’s currently on sale for £11… amazing right?!

Lemon Curd

This month I remembered how much I love lemon curd, damn that stuff is delicious! Sugary, sharp lemon curd! I can’t get enough of it! Whilst most super markets do a great premium version of it, Fortnum’s has to be my fave!

Bingo

So, here’s something I never expected to be saying… I went to play bingo this month! I’ve never been before, but damn it was SO MUCH FUN!!! It cost £7 and it included 2 hours of intense bingo, lots of giggling, bingo selfies and I even got ID’ed. Who could ask for more! Shout out to my buddy Felicity Hayward for inviting me!

Bobbi Brown ‘Extra Glow’ Collection

My mind and body are not ready for January, I’ve been feeling slow, sluggish and lazy… it’s kinda nice to be honest, if you can’t hibernate in January, when can you?! However, my skin, my skin it looking everything I’m not feeling; Healthy, glow-y, radiant and filled with life. Whilst I sit in bed at 3pm watching Friends in my pyjamas, I can rest assured my skin is looking fabulous. The lip tints are basically a lip balm with a pop a colour, the Bobbi Brown Moisture Balm gives all the calming, restoring nourishment my skin wants with an extra glow. As for the highlighter, it’s a stunning apricot pink shade which gives that ‘lit from within’ glow. LOVE!

Starbucks Glitter Cup

I feel a bit bad including this one, as it’s not in every store, so you might have to pop in a few stores before you find one. But I LOVE this glittery Starbucks on-the-go cup! I’m gonna look like a SASSY QUEEN carrying my frappe this summer! Oh and I LOVE their new Oat Macchiatos, especially for the morning!

‘Friends’

I touched on this earlier, but like the rest of the world, I’ve been watching Friends on Netflix and I’m loving life! The 90’s were so awesome; Ross found his ‘Sound’, Joey doesn’t share food, Rachel got a god-awful haircut that the world adored, Monica dated her eye doctor (and his sun), Chandler was a ‘Transponster’, Phoebe sang about a smelly cat and they ALL weren’t ready. What more could a girl want?!

Club 22 Candle

oh la la! I think I have found the most insanely opulent scented candle collection! I’m talking about Club 22 candles, I have been burning ‘Rouge’ this month and LOVING IT! It contains notes of raspberry, clove, rose, violet, sandalwood and amber. It’s rich, rose-y and stunning, it’s right up my street! oh and these cheeky tea cups are also a favourite of mine, can you believe my mum picked them out for me as a christmas gift?!!?

8th Will Sunglasses

I’m always on the look-out for cool new sunglasses and these ones by 8th Will are so flippin’ cool, I am obsessed! It’s a new brand, so you might not have heard of them until now, but with these designs, you’re gonna see them around a LOT! Oh and styles start at just £29… amazing right?!

Coach Rogue Handbag

The latest addition to my handbag collection and a firm favourite of mine! It’s the Coach Rogue handbag is soft black lambskin leather and stud detailing. It’s PERFECT for commuting into London, it fits everything I need inside and it’s so comfortable to carry around all day and it looks so darn good as well. Seriously, the Coach Rogue handbag is THE BEST BAG ON THE BLOCK right now!!!

Pineapple Lamp

Next have some amazing homewears. This month I got some stunning marble plates, a cute eyelash print trinket dish and this adorably awesome Pineapple Lamp. Seriously, for just £40 your bedroom will look a whole lot sassier! Isn’t it lovely!? I also have these marble plates which I LOVE and this jewellery dish is a steal at £4.50!

Freya Underwear

The other day I looked at a black bra and thought ‘Damn, this lace has turned into fishnet!’, I would have tweeted a pic, but it’s just too shameful. It was time to get a new bra and I headed straight to Freya because their underwear is perfect for us busty ladies, they do nice big sizes, beautiful designs and they are really great prices. Seriously, I can’t recommend Freya enough! I mean, just look at this beautiful print?! I LOVE it!

Rodial Skin Tint

A few weeks before Christmas I had my make-up done by one of the amazing MUA’s from Rodial. After 20 minutes I looked sculpted and highlighted and I felt ready to rule the world! It’s always super interesting to see how a profesh does your make up and despite being contoured-up, I didn’t feel too made-up as she highlighted my eyes and lips, but still left them fairly natural, which isn’t something I can normally achieve myself. It was that day I discovered the Rodial Skin Tint, which I am now obsessed with. It’s the perfect shade of pale for me, gives high enough coverage to even out my redness and blemishes, but feels light and airy enough to feel like I’m wearing little more than a moisturiser. Such a great CC cream / foundation. I really can’t recommend it enough and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to discover it!

Personalised Pixi

A few days ago I got a unexpected delivery from one of my favourite beauty brands, Pixi. They surprised me with a giant sized bottle of one of their most-loved products, Glow Tonic. I absolutely love this product, it really makes my skin glow and look and feel healthy and radiant! It contains a potent mix of glycolic acid to exfoliate and stimulate cell turnover, aloe vera to heal and sooth and ginseng to renew and energise! Oh and the bottle is personalised which makes it even more special!

Finally, I’ve fallen back in love with Pinterest. It’s been an absolute god-send with renovating and decorating my house, it’s helped me with everything from colour schemes, storage ideas, colourful interiors, finding cool stores to shop in and just nailing down exactly what I want, where I want it and how to get the best out of each room. Seriously, if you aren’t already on Pinterest, please join. It’s more than just scrolling pretty wedding pictures, it’s filled with actionable advice and tips, and you can really use it to hone you style and create something you really love, be it food, fashion, travel or interiors!
