November Favourites

Please can someone tell me how November has rolled around so damn fast?! I literally have no clue!!! Every month it takes me by surprise that I have to do another monthly favourites post, but on the plus side, I’m feeling pretty proud of myself that I have managed to do it every month for almost a year! I normally don’t stick to my commitments, but I’ve done pretty well with this one! Anyway… let’s move onto my November faves shall we?!

Listening

What would I do without podcasts?! I listen to them constantly when I’m commuting into London and I find them perfect for when I’m working on my SEO or taking photos – which is pretty much all the time…. Anyway! This month, I have been listening to the new series of Heavyweight, which I always enjoy. I’ve also been loving listening to back issues of This American Life and my new guilty pleasure is Sweet Teen Club, which is two Aussie girls who love chatting all things 90’s. We’re talking Heather’s, Empire Records, Sweet Valley High and The Babysitters Club. It’s a lot of fun and the episode on Heather’s was so much fun, because I’m such a geek for that film! On Audible, I have been listening to Coreyography which is the biography of Corey Feldman, narrated by the man himself. Which is weird, as I finished it just before all the new broke around him, I think a part of me knew that it was only a matter of time before the stories broke of him and Corey Haim and I was curious. Whatever the reason, it was super spooky timing! I also listening to Local Girl Missing which was pretty good, but didn’t blow my mind. I’m still on my free trial of Audible and you can get one too if you sign up here. Diptyque ‘Philosykos’

A few weeks ago I was reeling off a list of my ‘top 3 Diptyque fragrances’ and I instantly said ’34, Philosykos and Roses, it was at this point I realised that I have run out of Philosykos and I like a pregnant woman needs gherkins (or me, I always need gherkins, I LOVE them) I had to get myself a new bottle ASAP! It’s even more wonderful than I remember, filled with notes of milky fig in the Mediterranean sun. It’s warm, woody, green and it has a hint of spicy black pepper. Fig is such an underrated fragrance accord and Diptyque’s Philosykos is pure perfection!! It’s so good to have a new bottle of this, I urge you to try it!

Boden Boots

Damn!!! I LOVE these Boden boots!!! I keep wearing them in my outfit posts and I can’t get enough of them! The soft velvet, the perfectly round toe and those glitter heels!! I mean, it just doesn’t get any better than this!!!! If you are pondering which pair of boots to buy yourself, this is them!

Ren ‘Atlantic Kelp & Microalgae’ Toning Body Oil

I’m a long time fan of Ren products, but I have to say, my favourite thing they have ever done has to be their Atlantic Kelp & Microalgae. I have worked my way through the bath oil (twice actually!) as well as the hand wash. I’m now onto the body oil and damnnnnnnn this stuff is good! Like seriously, hold-the-phone-I’m-busy-pampering-myself good. It smells like every amazing spa you have ever been to, on acid. Amazing! Love it!!! And if you love Ren and you want some new bath and body treats, you need to try some of this and the accoumpnying bath oil!

Oliver Bonas Cat Candle

This was actually a gift from Charlotte of Betty Magazine and I honestly think it’s the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!! It’s from Oliver Bonas and it’s scented with Lily & Wild Moss and it’s just the prettiest scent in the cutest holder. Most neighbours borrow a cup of sugar, my neighbour gives me cute candles!

Hangry Snacks

I can’t believe I haven’t shared these on my blog yet… Hangry snacks!!! They are the brand child of my friend Louisa, she’s poured her heart and soul into them for the past year (or year and a half!? I’m not sure, time flies!!!) but she’s doing super well with them, I’m so proud of her and they are super healthy, gluten free, sugar free, vegan, raw… like everything you can imagine for them to be super good for you. They are launching soon in WH Smiths so if you see them, buy them! It’s such a cool brand, she’s done it basically on her own and self funded it and I’m so proud of her!!

It’s Lacroix, Darling!

I used to have issues with cushions, I thought they were totally pointless!! Now I actually LOVE them! I love shopping for them, admiring them, lounging on them… I can’t get enough!!! My latest cushion addiction is the Designers Guild X Christian Lacroix ones, they are such beautiful designs, filled with colour print and texture. Yes, texture, they have embroidered parts on them and sometimes buttons stitched on too. So good!! This one is from Pad Lifestyle which is one of my favourite homeware stores, they have the best designers, most enviable pieces and they cover all budgets! It’s been one of my best homeware discoveries!!

Bella Freud ‘Starry Starry Nights’ Candle

OK! So I know that you are all gonna think that I only love this candle because it looks so so so beautiful, but I actually adore the scent too. In the words of Louis Walsh, ‘It’s the full package’. Bella Freud Starry Starry Nights Candle contains notes of frankincense, nutmeg, ginger and musk, it’s so soothing, cosy, comforting and relaxing. It’s feels like a tiny log fire burning next to you when you read a book and who could really ask for more than that?!

Home Renovations

We are still renovating our house… I know… STILL! We still don’t have a fridge, we still don’t have a washing machine but things are finalllyyyy starting to get there and stuff is starting to get VERY exciting! I can’t wait to share photos of the next stage, but in the mean time, if you want to see some pretty drastic before and after photos, just check this post. I mean, seriously!! Even I was shocked at the difference!!

Gucci Sunglasses

Holy smokes! Please can we talk about this hot AF pink glitter Gucci Sunglasses?!! I am OBSESSED with them!! I love the oversized round frames, the gold glitter logo and of course, the bright pink uber-glittery arms!! I posted these on my instagram and I swear, people went CRAZY!!! I can’t wait to share them in an outfit post, but for now, please just admire all that glitter!!! I love them so much!!! Anya Hindmarch Sticker Handbag

This month I have been using my Chanel Tote a LOT, because it’s just so user friendly when I’m in London, but for the days I want to use something a little smaller and cute, it’s been the Anya Hindmarch Sticker Handbag all the way! I love this little bag, I wanted it for ages, the stickers as adorable and despite the fact there has been a lot of high street rip-offs, I really wanted to wait for the real thing! I’m so glad I did because I freakin’ love this bag!

ghd Contour Crimpers

Back in the 90’s I was SO obsessed with my hair crimpers. I honestly thought hair crimping was the most stylish thing ever and despite the fact my parents bought my hair crimpers for me, they were horrified every time I crimped my hair. I thought I looked f***ing fabulous! Actually, why am I past-tensing this, I still think I look f***ing fabulous with crimped hair, which is why I’m so unbelievably happy to see what ghd have released these limited edition Contour Crimpers. Ladies, if you want to look like a rock star and you want killer volume… you need these in your life! See you a the roller disco… Or if you wanna be a little chic-er, then this look is FLAWLESS and there is a step-by-step tutorial on the ghd website!

Clarins Advent Calendar

There’s so many awesome beauty advent calendars out there, but it’s the Clarins Advent Calendar which has really taken my fancy! I cannot wait to open this in December. They have so many iconic products, from their fragrance waters, bath & body products, skincare and make up…. I am resisting ALL temptation to look at what’s inside the advent calendar as I really want to be surprised each day. Personally, I’m hoping for a face mask (I love their new SOS masks), a lip oil would be amazing and maybe a cleanser or face cream would be great! Keep your fingers crossed for me guys!!!

Too Faced ‘White Chocolate Bar’ Palette

There’s a new palette in town and it’s pretty much the cutest thing I have EVER seen! I am obsessed!!! OBSESSED, I tell you!!! Too Faced get me every time and this new release is another level of hotness! Introducing the Too Faced ‘White Chocolate Bar’ Eyeshadow Palette, it’s filled with nudes, greys, browns and pinks (my faves!), in shimmer and matte finishes. I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but it smells like creamy, sweet white chocolate! Heavenly! I love this so much!!!!
