In Review…

Oh Lordy! Is this the prettiest perfume bottle you have ever seen?! I think so! Of course, I always adore Jo Malone London, but it’s rare they have a pink makeover. However, this year, Jo Malone London are celebrating a colourful Christmas and I’m ALL over it! From the colour-block advent calendar, to the limited edition Pomegranate Noir bottle and ALL the glorious rainbow gift sets, I am smitten! Although, the creme de la creme of the collection has to be this fabulous dressed-in-pink Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne. But don’t worry, the perfume inside is just as wonderful as the bottle itself!

Jo Malone London Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne opens with a burst of dark, juicy redcurrant, which are fresh and delicious, with a nod to festive fruits and foliage. The berries mingle with milky green almond; sweet, creamy and nutty. As for the base, it’s sweet, earthy and woody with accords of cedarwood and tonka bean. Jo Malone London Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne is on the sweeter side of the spectrum and in the best possible way. It reminds me of Christmas on Columbia Road; the slightly damp London cobbles lined with freshly cut christmas trees, fairy lights and shops glowing orange. Imagine roasted chestnuts toasting on the fire, wreaths, berries, blooms sold off barrows and the local tea shops brewing warm fruity cider and fruit loaves. Jo Malone London Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne is sparkling, delicious, joyful, merry and bright…. What more could you want?!

Jo Malone London Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne is out now and priced at £94 for a 100ml bottle, it is available in store, or online at Harvey Nichols, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and available as a candle from Selfridges.
