Winter Candle Edit

Neom 'Tranquility' candle

Winter Candle Edit

Hello My friends! Now it’s cold and dark, it’s time to really get into hibernation mode! I’m talking blankets, hot chocolate, box sets, fluffy socks, cashmere snoods and all those other cosy treats. No cosy day (or evening!) is complete without a soothing, flickering candle, which gently fills the room with scent. I think you all know where I’m going with this, so let’s get cracking!

Elemis 'Soothing Glow'

Elemis ‘Soothing Glow’

Oh! Let’s start with something really relaxing shall we? This Elemis Soothing Glow candle is filled with notes of Lavender, eucalyptus and geranium. Imagine the best spa you have ever been to, the clean essential oils of the eucalyptus and geranium, mixing with the soothing lavender and some winter warming spices in the mix too. It’s just so relaxing!

Crabtree & Evelyn 'Warm & Welcome' candle

Crabtree & Evelyn ‘Warm & Welcome’

The latest candle collection from Crabtree & Evelyn is inspired by rooms in a fictitious house and the way each room smells on a perfect day. For instance, the Warm & Welcome candle is themed around the hallway, the dark cassis notes, mixed with blackberry, rhubarb and fresh lemon, is like breathing a sign of relief when you get home. It’s cold and dark outside but warm and inviting inside, with the smell of dark delicious winter fruits and berries (cassis, blackberry and rhubarb) conjuring up the reminder of homemade cakes and mulled wine, with fresh lemon giving it a zesty edge.

Orla Kiely Mini Candle Gift Set

Orla Kiely Mini Candle Gift Set

If you’re the kinda girl who loves to have a selection of scented candles to choose from (*bashfully raises hand*), then you might find that this Orla Kiely Mini Candle Gift Set is a great alternative to a classic sized candle. For the price of one candle (£22) you get three mini candles, all in super pretty Orla Kiely glass jars and scented with fig, lavender and geranium. My personal favourite is fig, but they are all stunning! Oh and once you are done with the candles, they make adorable trinket pots.

Neom 'Tranquility' candle

Neom ‘Tranquility’

I am a troubled sleeper, but also a troubled so-and-so who refuses to take even mild sleeping pills. Instead I rely on a combination of perseverance, pillow sprays, relaxing baths and scented candles. If you are looking to improve your nights sleep with a little aromatherapy, I would suggest all of the techniques above as well indulging in a candle like Neom Tranquility. It contains notes of lavender, basil and jasmin and if you burn it for an hour or so before bed, it will just help to relax the mind and body and get you ready for sleep!

Jo Loves 'Christmas Trees' scented candle

Jo Loves ‘Christmas Trees’

Does any smell say ‘Christmas’ quite like the scent of fresh pine? I think not! Jo Loves Christmas Trees captures the green, woody, earthy, freshness perfectly with a lovely playful twist. For those who might not realise, Jo Loves was founded by Jo Malone a few years ago, after she sold her first brand and realised a few years later how much she missed creating fragrances. Her latest venture is every bit of beautiful as the fragrances you know and love her for! If you don’t know about Jo Loves yet, it’s time to visit her London shop!

Diptyque 'Dragon' Candle

Diptyque ‘Dragon’

Every Christmas Diptyque release a trio of limited edition candles, each festive, fabulous and sell out FAST. This year, I have the Dragon Candle and it’s filled with notes of blood orange, clove, smoky embers and warm burning fires. It’s absolutely fabulous and I think I need to buy the larger sized version of it before it sells out everywhere! It’s pure perfection!

Soohyang 'Itaewon 565' candle

Soohyang ‘Itaewon 565’

Meet the internet’s latest obsession… Soohyang candles! This brand have only just launched, but already they are ALL over Instagram. Maybe it’s their millennial pink and black branding, their cute slogans (life is better when you smell nice) or maybe it’s the names of the fragrances (oh hi! Champagne Supernova!). I have their signature scent, Itaewon 565 which is absolutely stunning, it’s named after their store in Korea and it’s a floral fragrance with lots of fresh, leafy green notes. I adore it!

Rodin 'Olio Lusso' candle

Rodin ‘Olio Lusso’

Recently I have been loving Rodin, they have some incredible products and I can’t wait to share more with you all soon, but for now, let me tell you, the Rodin Olio Lusso is incredible! It contains notes of fresh, potent jasmine and a hint of white floral neroli. It’s both tranquil and uplifting and it feels modern yet classic. It’s also super rich, so if you have high ceilings and big rooms which require something a little more potent, this is perfect! I also adore the minimalist design of the pillar shape. Stunning!

Ecoya Spiced 'Ginger & Musk'

Ecoya Spiced ‘Ginger & Musk’

This Ecoya Spiced Ginger & Musk candle is filled with dreamy notes of spicy ginger, sweet musk and warm amber. It’s sweet, spicy and slightly earthy. Whilst it’s just a single wick candle, it’s a hefty old size as this candle will give you about 80 hours of burn time. Made from Soy way, hand-poured in Australia and available at John Lewis, it’s a winter treat, especially if you like your spice served with a hint of sweetness!

So, there we have it, my winter candle edit… I hope you loved it!

The diptique one is beautiful! I really want one! They are so nice! I really want to try Jo Loves too – but it still confuses me that they are more expensive than Jo Malone lol
