Wearing a Summer Dress On A Winter’s Day
Do you ever look out of the window and think, ‘I know it’s winter, but it’s sooooo nice and sunny?!’ well that’s what I did today. At the grand old age of 34, I still haven’t figured out that you can still get sunny days in Winter – What an idiot! It was for this reason, I made a weird wardrobe decision and decided a summer dress with a chunky cardigan would be all I needed. Minus the tights, this is basically the same thing I was wearing during the heat of summer. Only it wasn’t July, it was November. In fact, looking back at that outfit, why wasn’t I wearing this yellow dress back then and the black dress today!?! I really need to consider the seasons before I get dressed each day!!
Waiting The Long Game…
I bought this Lazy Oaf cardigan from Ebay, it was one I really, really wanted at the time, but it sold out so fast that I missed out on it. I never really forgave myself for it, so instead of beating myself up about it, I did something much more sensible and proactive: I set up a ‘Saved Search’ and waited the long game. There was a pretty fierce bidding war, but eventually I won and I’m so happy I did. Whilst I paid almost as much for it second hand as I would have done new, I just don’t care, a black chunky cardigan is a wardrobe staple and this one is better than the average because it has a cool slogan on the back. Also, I need to mention my boots, I freakin’ love these boots! They are by Boden, they are black velvet with a gold glitter heel, literally I cannot recommend these enough, they are so comfortable, the heel is the perfect size, the glitter is fierce and they are so comfortable! I LOVE them!
