I have such a fragrance crush on Amouroud. I totally understand they aren’t for everyone, as they are a million miles away from the soft fruity florals which dominate the high street, but if you love rich, heavy, exotic fragrances of the East, like me, then they are an absolute treat for the senses. I have a few of their fragrances now and I love wearing them, as does my boyfriend, he’s also a big fan. We always think of Amouroud as a well-kept secret! Wanna join the gang, then get yourself down to Harrods for a browse of the collection, if you have a similar fondness for fabulous, heavy dark ouds like me, then you will absolutely adore it! Just please don’t blame me if you get a little hooked on their fragrances, I know I am!

Anyway, let’s chat about Oud After Dark shall we? I have been wearing this one a lot lately and when I saw my bestie last weekend she said to me ‘You look great and you smell INCREDIBLE!’. Whilst I’m not very good at taking compliments, I had to admit, I did smell brilliant… what can I say, it’s the Amouroud, their fragrances are nothing short of fabulous! Oud After Dark is a real ‘power scent’, it opens with a heavy hit of spice, sweetness and juicy fruits, the heart notes quickly show themselves, rich oud, heady rose, dark juicy plum and textured suede. The base is filled with woods, tobacco, amber, vanilla and musk; adding oodles of depth and giving it a really dark, smooth, sexy base. The fragrance is heady, intense and complex, I am sure some will find it too potent, but for me, I adore it. I feel so confident when I wear it and it’s such a rich, delicious, wintery fragrance. If you love dark, juicy, complex ouds, you need to try this. It’s stunning quality, it lasts all day (and night) and it’s just screams opulence, luxury and confidence, I’m so happy to add Amouroud Oud After Dark to my fragrance wardrobe!
