Outfits For Lunch With Friends
Hello friends! Today I want to chat about great Outfits For Lunch With Friends; what to wear, what colours to wear, what heels or shoes to wear and generally what makes a great outfit for lunch with friends. It can be hard to know what to wear when meeting up with your pays, so today I’m hoping to help! Let’s go!!
Dress Colourfully
In my life, I have been crazy colourful and all-black-everything, I guess it just depends on how I’m feeling at the time. I love wearing colour because it’s so cheery and it makes me feel so good. I hope it makes my friends feel happier too, however, I love black because it’s so damned effortless and chic. People often tell me they wish they had the confidence to wear colour and I always tell them the same thing, buy something you absolutely adore which is so beautiful that you just don’t care what anyone else thinks because if people look at you, they will just be checking out how good you look. Also, if you are nervous, start small, be it a brightly coloured scarf, handbag or shoes, or maybe a colourful jumper. Pops of colour on black look brilliant, so don’t be afraid to wear your staple blacks, whites and greys and just introduce one pop of colour, not only will you feel great, but it will allow you to dip your toe into the colourful ocean! Also, wearing colours makes me and the people around me feel happier, it really lifts the mood, so if you are wanting to wear colour then remember it will not only make you feel great and confident, but when you friends see you looking beautiful and colourful, it will make them feel happy too! It’s a real joy spreader!!!
Outfits For Lunch With Friends: Heels or No Heels!?
This really depends on you and your friends, for instance if they all wear super high heels, you might want to wear a heel too, however, if it’s a pretty casual group of friends, you might want to consider no heels and something a little more comfortable. I personally like to either opt for no heel or a heel i can walk far in, as for me, a post-lunch walk is such a joy and I wouldn’t want to let painful heels get in the way of me having a lovely long stroll with my friends. I never want to cut a fun day short because my heels are giving me grief, but that’s just me!
Smart Lunch Outfit Ideas
When it comes to smart lunch outfit ideas, personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with a shirt dress – always chic, a simple pair of shoes and a nice handbag. You don’t need to be dripping in jewels, you don’t need to wear all black, you can still wear colour but keep the silhouette simple. Also, if you are lazy like me and try to avoid doing the ironing, this might be the time to get your iron or steamer out for that polished finish!
Casual Lunch Outfit Ideas
If you are having a casual lunch, then I have a few outfit ideas for you:
- Jeans and a chic white blouse
- Vintage dress with converse
- Pleated midi skirt with a sweet tee-shirt
- Polka dot swing dress and denim jacket
- Linen jumpsuit and a designer bag
Don’t overthink it, just have a lovely lunch and feel comfortable, cool and casual!
