Summer might be over, but there’s some thing in my heart which is making me crave a little sunshine in my life, or at least in my fragrances… y’know how it is! I am a long time fan of Aerin perfumes and not just because of the stunning semi-precious stone bottle tops, but the scents themselves are wonderfully fine, french and elegant! I have recently discovered Mediterranean Honeysuckle and what can I say, it’s Magnifique!
Until the internet gives me the ability to reach my arm through your computer screen, I’m going to have to go with the age old method of describing it… Close your eyes. Imagine the hot sun beating down on lush grass, blossoming florals and Mediterranean citrus trees. The air is warm, the sea is refreshing and the vegetation is lush and fabulous. The unusual thing about this fragrance is that there are no base notes, so it doesn’t have the best longevity. There’s no base of woods and musk, instead it’s just heavenly fresh fruits and florals; zesty grapefruit, bergamot and mandarin oil set alongside lush lily of the valley, gardenia and jasmine. FYI, gardenia is a huge favourite of mine, it’s just so pure of feminine, a massively underrated flower, if you ask me! Whilst you might want to reapply this one before you head out for dinner on the beach, that’s ok, because it’s filled with sunshine and elegance!
